I have seen this kit built on another youtube channel, and the builder had fit issues getting the front grille, hood and fenders in alignment. Did you have any problems with that which were not made a part of this video?
@MRLINSSCALEMODELING19 сағат бұрын
hi,I got no fitting issues in those parts,however, there are some flesh around many parts indeed, carefully trim these parts will get a good fit..😊

Hi Mr, congrats on another finished project. As usual I come with question - I've painted car body with acrylic Tamiya paint. Then I masked the body with Tamiya masking tape and painted certain areas with black tamiya acrylic paint (window trims etc). No clear coat yet, only acrylic paints. After I removed the masking tape there are visible areas of glue from tape. What should I use to remove glue residues without damaging acrylic paint surface?
@MRLINSSCALEMODELINGКүн бұрын
@@loganit0 hi, maybe the under paint is not fully cured...the coat film of acrylic paint is pretty weak,so be careful with it,do not cover lacquer base paint over it... about the glue leave by masking tape,try use Tamiya x-20 thinner...
@loganit0Күн бұрын
@@MRLINSSCALEMODELING Thanks for reply! 1/ I shouldnt put lacquer clear coat over acrylic base? I know its hot, but I used it on seats and the acrylic surface didnt melt. 2/ as for glue residues, AI suggests using very small IPA or just warm water with soap. Im not sure about X-20 as it is dedicated to thin acrylics which is what used to paint my body.
@MRLINSSCALEMODELINGКүн бұрын
@@loganit0 don't use IPA,that will remove acrylic paint!! if you want to apply lacquer clear over acrylic paint,make sure apply light coat first,too much lacquer paint will damage the acrylic paint underneath
@MRLINSSCALEMODELINGКүн бұрын
by the way,is "x-20"enamel thinner,not "x-20a"...
@loganit0Күн бұрын
@@MRLINSSCALEMODELING Ok no IPA, understood. You are absolutely right, there is x-20 and x-20a! You are the man, Mr. Lin. Tomorrow I will give it a try. Thanks for all the knowledge!

Nice work, where can I buy these stainless steel wires and tubes? Can you give me a tip, please?
@MRLINSSCALEMODELING4 күн бұрын
hi,I got them from a my local metal fabricator.. you can also try brass wire and bress tube in hobby store, they are much easier to get
@fischikawa4 күн бұрын
@@MRLINSSCALEMODELING I found these rods and tubes on the EGGS' website ( japanese website)but the problem is that i can't order from there, and the another problem is that the european webstores dont have such sizes like 0,8 x 0,4 mm tube for example. I also couldn't find these tubes on Amazon, japanese amason etc. That's the main problem.

Hi, great video tutorial. Are these rules and dilutions, for better or worse, valid for both airbrushes and the three clear paints? Or for example a 0.5 is better suited to Auto Clear, as you use in the video? Furthermore, why don't you polish with circular movements, but linear ones? What would happen? Is this true for all polishes even real car polishes? I recommend you try the clear 2K SNP. I got better results than others on the market for modeling. Thank you!
@MRLINSSCALEMODELING5 күн бұрын
thank you my friend😊 There is no fixed rule for dilution ratios. I'm just showing my usual dilution ratio.I think this thining ratio suitable for most lacquer paints..0.5mm airbrush speed up the painting proces.. I think multi-directional linear polishing is easier to control than circular polishing..and ccording to my experience...it’s less likely to be over-polished..of course,this is the method that works for me. I've tried 2K clear ..indeed it's very shiney...I'm just not used to the thickness and greasy feeling of its paint film.as described in my video..my skill is not good enough for 2K clear.. I will definitely try 2K clear in future..😊 cheers!!
