Crazy food for me from the older generation. Not everything that is "in" is really healthy. For example high protein food can be really dangerous - too much protein can create big trouble to your organism.

I moved to Germany from Canada 2021 to do my master's degree and then moved to Berlin for a job! The job market isn't so great right now, i also don't speak German so it was pretty hard to get a job this time around (it was better before the inflation/recession situation). I think it's still a good idea if you like the culture, life style, work life balance, etc. it's difficult to find a job but not impossible.

Also if you’re interested in music there is always a way to get inexpensive tickets to the Berlin philharmonics or the opera it’s so special you might not get the best seats but that doesn’t matter too much it’s much more affordable than in any other major city

I have been to all the museums so I always check for special exhibits. I think there is a frans hals one coming up and I saw that already in Paris or Amsterdam it’s good. You can also never do anything wrong with going to the neue Nationalgalerie :)

Moving to new places doesn’t remove Character defects- that comes with in. My personal Experience new things in place can help to make you wiser to the world. For me to improve on weak areas and character flaws I began a spiritual life connection to a high power of my understanding /for me it was Jesus Christ To bring my faults and weaknesses to in prayer

Hi Amy, this is my 1st time came across to your channel (new sub 453+1). I hope you're living well in berlin and look forward to see more vlogs in this interesting city. Btw I think the biggest challenges to have a pet are: (1) when they're sick, the costs for the vet is quite expensive no matter which developed countries you live in. Remember they might have a long life with upside down just like a human. (2) when you plan to go travel, someone might have to help you to take care of them. €50 per person but we couldn’t finish 😭 it was too much. We haven’t had hotpot for half a year so 😅😅 I think €30-40 is average!

I think she said that the apartment is fully furnished and the furniture do look pretty expensive. Additionally, I think this area is one of the most expensive neighbourhoods in Berlin.

@@Yangtsu_09 Furnished apartments in Germany are a loophole for landlords to charge rent above the legal rent limit. So you should not rent furnished apartments if you don’t want to overpay.

Even though I grew up in Vancouver, I don't order Seafood often cause I still think it's expensive but maybe I should be more grateful we have access to fresh seafood here hahaha So nice to see how vibrant and the different cultures in Germany I really enjoyed seeing glimpse of your life in Germany :)

I actually have a non tech position at a tech company and in Germany, it is standard to have public insurance, cost split to be covered by both the employer and employee.

i am watching these videos from berlin bc there's a chance i might end up moving there. i'm from germany though, Berlin is about 6h from where i live by car so i am hesitant. at the same time, it would be a great opportunity for so many reasons!
