I always expected more Marvel based fighting games to come along from Capcom, especially after Marvel Superheros, I figured a Spider-Man based fighter would do gangbusters but it all slipped into the Vs side of things and never re-emerged, for better or worse I always feel like we lost out a little but.

I enjoy playing this game once a year, trying different teams or powers. When I first played this I favored the characters with projectile attacks, now I rarely use those skills. Beast is the least useful character, but if you learn how to use his two attacks, he can still be usable as an offensive character. Emma is the character I use the least. Jubilee can outdo the other energy characters damage output with her projectile attack and the right equipment. Magma is lethal as a melee character once her boost and passive damage skill are maxed. I usually run with Iceman and all stat points into Body and let him punch his way through most situations. Cyclops, Storm , and Nightcrawler round out my 1A team. And I play the sequel year round, probably over 300 games from a fresh start over the last 20 years. If you want a challenge, play Xmen Legends 2 on hard mode with level 1 characters.

I enjoy this game much more than msm2. It is very interesting mix of Tactics, quest and rpg-like story with companions.

Wolverine Storm Psylocke and Iceman was my team. Also loved Gambit Magma and Emma Frost. And yes Beast is by far the worst character!

GREAT VIDEO! My team was always Iceman Scarlet Witch and Sunfire. Then I would add Juggernaut Colossus Storm Gambit or Nightcrawler depending on my mood.

I loved this game back when it first came out, and it still holds a spot in my top 10 favorite games of all time. I mained Juggernaut. If you do it right, his ability to convert damage into energy gives him infinite uses of his less expensive powers. Iceman is glitched so that if you only put one rank into a certain power, all of his other powers don't use energy. Nightcrawler has a similar glitch with one of his teleportation multi-attacks, making it (and only it) free to use. Prof. X is great for his radial stun attack. Iron Man is glitched, so his power up also affects his powers. This makes his rapid-fire attack turn into a ton of damage over a short period of time. Combo him with Bishop's unlimited energy ultimate for the most DPS in the game by a country mile. If you feel like really going nuts, add Toad's group buff. There's a room where henchmen keep teleporting in as soon as the previous one drops. Just line up Iron Man so that he's shooting across both teleporter pads and use Bishop's ultimate to farm infinite XP and random loot drops. Finally, Leadership is BUSTED in this game. Max it out on 3 support characters and call for help whenever you use a power to gain several times more XP per kill and get a massive damage boost to all powers. I usually run one main character with Prof. X, Cyclops, and Magneto to absolutely power level the first.

I'm just going to add that since you seem to be playing on a potato- the game looks and plays FANTASTIC in 4k/ultra on a high end PC. It feels like a playable movie. I don't read comic books or care about the movies but this game is story first, game second, and it's a perfectly executed version of that and it looks incredible to match maxed out.

been aware of this game since release and i think i'd like it, but im not sure how much i wanna pay in a sale to make up for the reports of bugs and crashes on xbox series s. also thinking if i should run the xbox one version on my series s so maybe the extra power of the console makes a better performance or if it doesnt work like that

The deck building wasn’t necessary. X com one of my fav games. And I love comics. Perfect match. But when I saw the deck builder battle system I was not interested in the game.

I’ve been having soo much fun with this game. It feels like a passion project. My only complaint is that the game is a little buggy and there is an annoying bug in the game that prevents you from getting some really cool powers. The bug has been in the game since June 2023.

Not a huge fan of grid style turn based rpgs, but i habe been curious about this game, might pick it up when i clear out my gaming backlog more, great and entertaining vid moon, very well put together

Incredible game

This was an amazing game. The gameplay, extra characters, story, and the dialogue was all fantastic. The advertising was a bit lackluster even though they tried livestream gameplay to hype it up, and got live streamers to play the game as a sponsorships the fact that they focused on the "Card play" which i think was a turn off for a lot of people off even though it worked well with this new genre.

Currently playing and enjoying the base game, and trying to figure out if the season pass is worth it in 2024 or not 🤔

This game deserves so much love than what it got. It's great to see there is some kind of appreciation for it

Looking to buy this game again if possible. Never got to finish it back in the day. I preferred using Logan, Juggernaut, Magneto, & either Jean, Storm, Nightcrawler or whoever fit the mission best

The story and writing for this game was so good. Loved everything about it EXCEPT the combat loop :/. Still hope they make a sequel tho
