What I especially like about Irshad Khan is that amongst all the notable professional Sitarists, he is the one with not only a smiling countenance, but who communicates fluently in English with his audience and establishes great rapport with them. This is, and should be, a prerequisite for any successful performance. And it goes without saying that he is a superb Sitarist and par excellence surbahar artist. Many good wishes for him.
