For somebody in the future wondering aboult all those inches things here's what bing copilot told me: The sizing of hose fittings can be a bit tricky since it varies by the type and standards. funny enough I've never heard a complaint. I remember just watching it a lot in the beginning to make sure it didn't back up. Good to be cautious

The electric dryer might be more tricky, unless you can find a 110 volt option. Or if there is a 240 volt outlet... fingers crossed. (venting out the wind seems reasonable) Congrats on the baby!

You’ll probably need a way to switch between the two. If both hot and cold are connected then they can mingle in odd ways, like when you turn on cold water in the faucet, then like warm water comes out

There might be a way to do that. The main issue with washing machine wastewater is the amount that comes out at a time. So the water needs to evacuate quickly through the pipes or else it backs up... best of luck to you!

I left it exposed. I probably would have routed it behind the cabinets and hard-piped the drain if it wasn't a rental. I don't recall it bothering me.

Hey! So sorry I can't be there to help in person. There are 3 options I can think of, maybe there is a missing or damaged gasket, maybe you need to have thread tape, or maybe you need to tighten it more. Hope you were able to keep it contained.

This unit doesn't have a dryer, but I think those all-in-one washer/dryer units just need to drain normally.

I believe those kinds of things exist to allow you to connect directly to the faucet, but I'm not 100%.
