Sometimes that works but a lot of times you have to work the bait different ways. Like I said I'll try and go over different ways in an upcoming video

I was catching some smallies out of the creeks you were talking about in October. With the flooding and rain to the river they might be flooded but maybe you want to try them
@FishingWithZach24 күн бұрын
Oh nice, any nice ones? I think the best I got this year was 1.5lbs. Usually I get quite a few 2-2.5lb ones. I'm sure it's pretty flooded now but I may try once it calms down. Ive got a new one I want to try but I'm sure it's flooded too. Thanks for watching!

You could probably get more distance on your cast if you put a little bit more line on that reel😊

Yea, I know lol. I've got the new line I just forget to put it on 🙃. Thanks for the reminder though I'm going to do it right now. Stay tune for the next video haha

What rod and reel doyou got there?
@FishingWithZachАй бұрын
Hi, that is a lews xfinity combo from walmart. Rod is a medium fast 6'6" and reel is a 6.2:1 gear ratio. I believe they are orange and white now. Thanks for watching

@PFishing124 ай бұрын
Why do you think the creek smallmouth fishing has been so bad?
@FishingWithZach4 ай бұрын
Idk it could just be me but it just hasn't been any good the times I've went. Up until this year I could almost always catch a few here and there. I know the few times I've tried up and down the creek and the "deep" spots have been shallow. Also a lot more downed trees in the creek bed messing up some of the really good spots

The big gold fish are stronger, smarter, and more resilient than most would presume. I’ve had quite a few experiences where I thought I was going to catch one, just to watch them strategically nibble the bait off without getting snagged. Nice catch!
@FishingWithZach5 ай бұрын
Yea, they definitely don't get the credit they deserve. I caught a grass carp on a crappie pole and 4lb line, probably the most fun I've had fighting a fish
