Hi. Could you please share screen-shot of all the Midi-settings on both Montage and Event X (and Genos 2) and even pictures of where all Midi and Usb cables goes. The idea to mix Ketron Event with Genos2 or Montage is great, but it is difficult to set it up correctly. There is some information in manuals, but it is not easy to understand. So screenshot/pictures or a very detailed video would be great!

This happens when you switch between sounds with totally different EFFECTS. It is trying to 'complete' one sound as it merges into the next and adpot it's effects!

OK, Larry, You tell us we will have to wood-shed it a little if we want to control the SD-90 with a guitar. But that's all you say about how to control the SD-90 with a guitar. That comment has me scared and has been keeping me from ordering the SD-90. What do we have to do in the woodshed?

That is if you want to build in your own Midi controller into your existing guitar. If you get a unit like the Fishman tripple play (or a Guitar with the Midi already built in), you won't have to do this.

Selbst einfache Produktanfragen wegen Neukauf wurden bislang nicht beantwortet - und das als ehemaliger Besitzer eines SD1+, was damals wirklich ein tolles Keyboard war

Hello Ajam. So, my EVM was not sending clock out no matter what I did. I thought it could be the case that my EVM OS should be updated. I checked the version and saw it was V1.2. I went to the website and could find no OS downloads specific to the EVM. Then I remembered this video in which we have you saying that the EVM is the same as the Event, just in a different form factory, so I thought that all the available OS updates for the Event would work just fine for my EVM. So I updated the OS all the way up to V3.0. In between one OS update and other, I decided to test the EVM to see if the newer OS version had the midi clock issue fixed, and I noticed V1.3 had it working fine and I could see clock being sent to my midi interface. I decided to continue the upgrade up to V3.0. When I finished, I decided to test the EVM just to see that the device is completely in silence. It emmits no sounds anymore. I can see activity in the UI when I start the styles, but can hear nothing. I tried to check for volume adjustments, but could not find anything that solves the problem. Also, the front panel lights are dead and the beep sound emmited when we turn the device on and off is gone too. On version 3.0 the clock send is not working either. So... I guess I screwed up, right? Is there a way to revert what I've done? Is there a factory reset option on the device?

Try to RESET your unit and try again. Also check the device your EVM is connected to to make sure it is set up to RECEIVE Midi clock signal.

@@AjamSonic thanks Ajam. It’s resolved now, but just for the sake of information, there is no Reset to do. Ketron support sent me a new update file that I had to install over the V3.0. That resolved the problems I caused with the updates, but did not resolve the midi clock problem, which is a real bug, because the support sent me yet another update that solved the clock problem.

I’m interested in how the drum mixer button/menu works. Can you play a melody while mixing the drums? I’d like to play a piano tone /melody while muting a drum part …for example mute the cymbal/snare etc while I’m playing the song and the drum/dr pattern is going while I’m playing a song

Yes. We will make a video on this but it is simple. As you play, press the DRUM MIX button. You can then change volume, tone, effects ...etc of each individual drum part (kick, snare, percussion etc) WHILE PLAYING/TESTING, then when satisfied, press SAVE to save as a USER file ...and keep playing!

I see you finally got this resolved. Yes, even though the EVM is similar to all the other EVENT units in the series, they have different OSs due to their slight differences (panels, screens, button layout etc).

Big error on this Ketron Event model.. The Real styles go out of sync many times.. This is the really bad thing on this keyboard and it's very annoying on stage on live performance the drummer or guitar or bass go out of sync

These are some of the bugs that were fixed/rectified in OS 3.0. Download it and install from www.Ketron.it (if you already did, do it once more time using a USB stick no bigger than 64GB :-) )

I have a korg pa1000, if I link up with the ketron evm and load a midi song and edit it on evm, change instruments in the 16 tracks so they use the ketron sounds, and save to usb or korg songbook will it play back the new sounds without the evm connected. Regards Allen.

Yes. So long as you press SAVE once you have edited the song on the EVM - then save with a new name (to preserve the old track) or save with the same name (to overwrite the old song), the next time you play that midifile, whatever setup you edited (voicing, levels, etc) ... will be recalled.

Yes. You can actually use a mixer as well to get more inputs recorded as a STEREO track! Possiblilites are endless with the EVM.

Yes, we heard and that was intentional BECASUE we wanted to also show the difference between when you play them together WITHOUT SYNC (same tempo on both units), and when you play them once you set up the SYNC such that the midi clock of one (Yamaha) drives both as you experience as of time 06:41 an onwards (where both are in sync)! We hope this address your concern(s)?
