@Loony_BeLuna Жыл бұрын
An advice for you: never update your Nvidia driver unless it's really necessary. I didn't do it since months and all work fine. There was even driver updates who did break iray,even if iray is their own product and the driver was out of the beta. So, better stay on a stable version, unless you see it gets problems, mainly in gaming.

I used a Genesis 8 HD character and the only lighting is the HDRI finite sphere with ground. I probably picked a 4k HDRI. The Bench is the only other object, a free download from Turbosquid.

how do you keep the thickness of clothing in Daz? when i apply the uv maps they look thin even if i exported as thick....
@3D-Tips2 жыл бұрын
Usually by creating a "hem" around the exposed edge of any cloth and duplicating it to create a double layer. This should fake some thickness into it. I may stick a video together to show this.
@poochyboi2 жыл бұрын
I hate dforce with a passion. Is there a way I can export a clothing from daz to MD and use MDs physics simulator to create a morph (I.e, a clothing crumpled onto the floor). Then export that clothing back go daz?

Did you clear out the previous simulations before starting a new one? I didnt see you do it.

I didn't. The only objects simulated in this example is the clothing and the hair. There's nothing else in the scene. The hair was frozen.

@3D-Tips2 жыл бұрын
I have 48GB fitted but it's not essential. The RAM on the graphics card is essential though. If the usage during render exceeds the card, it's all done on the CPU instead.

The RTX2060 12GB renders fine. My previous card was a GTX1050Ti 4GB, so most scenes rendered with the CPU instead, which is much slower.

Hey man, great video, do i have to purchase the lace material? as i can see yours is quite high quality....
@3D-Tips2 жыл бұрын
I usually find a royalty-free image of lace and have to edit the image to create a tileable version to use as an opacity map. There's a filter in Photoshop to create a Normal Map from this.

Hey, I'm trying to get my clothes in Blender. So, I import my character from Blender to MD, build my clothes in MD, then export it in Blender. But then, do the clothes need to be rigged? I don't want to create animations, I'd like to give a rigged character my own custom clothes.
@3D-Tips2 жыл бұрын
I don't rig any clothing myself. The Transfer Utility in Daz Studio is where I make Daz copy the rigging from the base figure into the clothing.

Is the 3060 better than ti? Bc of the 12 gb vram? Or I just should wait for the 4060? My budget is below 500 and I want the gpu for 5 years atleast so I think vram is a must.
@3D-Tips2 жыл бұрын
All of the 3060 Ti cards I've seen have been 8Gb. If your render will fit into this, a Ti is usually better than a non-ti. If the render won't fit into 8Gb, it'll fall back to CPU anyway.

There's this weird thing in dazstudio when the scene is overloaded and VRAM is full then the iray instead of clearing the memory for rendering it switches back to CPU render.

Thank you for your helpful video. I'm very experienced with 3ds but relatively new to Daz Studio. Maybe you can answer the following question, because you seem to be using 3ds as well: I'm using Iray for 3ds Max. Isn't there an automated way to export the Iray materials from Daz to 3ds so that the rendering looks the same as in Daz? Unfortunately I couldn't find anything on the subject.
@3D-Tips2 жыл бұрын
I did manage to UV Wrap a model I had and create a diffuse map that worked in Daz. I don't think the materials from 3ds are going to come across otherwise. I should tinker more but usually texture mine in Daz instead.
