I'm experiencing the exact same issue but on the Linux version of the game. Unfortunately the CommonRedist and vcredist aren't in the games folder like it is on Windows.

yes, the cleaner the body part is, the less probability of falling apart after a crash

Let me guees how to do it the hard way 1st drive your rusty body car to a house or something 2nd. find a non rusted car but the car doest run and the fuel tank is litter with stuff. So u get your car engine put it in the non rusted body car then drive off which prob gonna take some time . 3rd:now u spend a whole week finding non rusted part for your car even the littlest thing

Unfortunately, I don't have Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair. but, maybe this problem occurs when Visual C++ Package is damaged. Reinstalling these packages may fix the problem, please try.
