get perks that give you back an ammo magazine, it refills the entire ammo reserve for the gun since there aren't mags (unless they've since patched that out). Really helps on higher difficulties when ammo is limited

Well yeah its good, its a Dark Age of Technology weapon platform revitalized by Cawl. The Astartes once marched to war with Volkite rifles as their main weapons for a reason.

The weapon is good, it's one of the few weapon where you can find two perks for boosting damage on terminus enemies making it a decent choice in a boss fight.

On tabletop, the "Incursors" (close-support vanguard marines equipped with the oculus bolt carbine) all have [IGNORES COVER] and can tag enemies so their allies have +1 to hit against them. So, the implication is that the doohickey on the marine's back just enhances the default aim-assist and sensor array of the space marine armor.

I'm glad you like it but as a fan of many of the series its ok not near the hype you put into it. they over powered the weapons for the beta to sell copies and the nerfs are already incoming to make it suck

I think your point about not being able to parry during the heavy stance attacks is what keeps me from using the knife. I like how the chainsword's heavy attacks come out quick, I always feel like I'm able to parry when I need to. That being said, it's really cool watching you use heavy stance to whirlwind through hordes, watching your health bounce up and down, high risk high reward. Feels too risking for me, but I'm glad this style exists, and thanks for showing it.

my go too for vanguard. the class is already good at melee. the instigator gives you some reach to stop reinforcement calls which gives the vanguard even more utility.

I like it because my 2 friends i play with are bulwark and assault so I try to take advantage of being the class with access to the only primary weapons in our squad

The combat knife (balanced) is sooooo fast. I find the melta boring and prefer to be able to tag targets from further away. 😊

I incorporated all weapons into builds in mass effect, warframe and I am gonna give all them bolters some love too. Glad that there are people who try other than the meta 😉

I like the vanguard but its big flaws are the core synergy for parrying an dodging doesn't have a good enough payoff (Upper hand should do a little more) and it's the only class that doesn't have any signature weapons that only it gets

Honestly I think one one or two out the whole collection of weapons are trash. The rest are good. It’s just about regulating your play style to suit

Nah, assualt is ass. Everything he excels at, Heavy does better. (Wave clear) Assualt has to trade using big dives from Jet pack and after he kills so many he gets free jst pack.... sounds awesome till you realise the only thing the jetpack is killing on ruthless is the minoris level threats... and they get wrecked by a grenade which is garenteed to be thrown by a teammate which scatters everything and kills the majority... making jetpack borderline useless and niw your stuck fighting a whole bunch of minoris and extermis... and maybe terminis. (Boss) Now swap assault for Heavy with a multi melta and what do you know.... you now have unlimited ammo with the best gun in the game capable of melting anything and everything..... and i dont even play heavy!! But i have to give credit. The top 3 classes are Heavy = wave clearing Bulwark = support Tactical = exterminis/termernis (boss) killer. Everything else is subpar in PVE (all completely viable, just the top 3 wildly out perform the others in PVE) PVP is a whole different story. Assualt fyckin rules. Jet pack throw shock grenade, smash down 2-3 hit everyone (if they were full health otherwise its more like 1 hit if the jetpack slam down kill them), repeat. Absolutely disgusting to abuse in PVP.in short Assualt is a PVP class he sucks ass in PVE
