A power strip, you plug all your stuff into it and it takes the brunt of electrical surges to protect your equipment. You can get them cheap, but the one I bought was about $200 well spent

The GameCube is a fucking trooper. The strike burnt a tree outside and melted the surge protector, and the GameCube still works today. Thing is built like a tank.

This stream was cut short due to a severe lightning storm that surged the entire house and knocked out the internet. It seems like everything survived, but I'm going to check everything anyway to make sure it's all still functioning properly.
