I've tried watching interviews on Small Things Like These before, but often ended up turning them off because the interviewers were so off-putting. I didn’t have high expectations for this one either, but I was pleasantly surprised! You are smart, engaging, respectful, and clearly knowledgeable. I hadn’t seen your work before, but I was happy to spend half an hour on this interview and came away really impressed.

Saw the film last night, seeing it again tonight. Absolutely phenomenal film. The acting was incredible by all, but especially by Hugh. As a recently deconverted atheist, this film was a breath of fresh air and left a lot to think/talk about afterwards. Also, as a Bruce Dickinson fan there was a lovely little easter egg in the film that made me jump out of my seat with excitement. There was so much about the film that I loved. The ladies were very intelligent and weren't the stereotypical, ditzy types that you see in a lot of horror films, Hugh played the baddie in such a way that made him loveable yet so scary that you couldn't predict his next move. His quirks, facial expressions, tone of voice, etc added so much depth to the character and puts the audience in a juxtaposition of really liking him but then feeling increasingly uneasy as the film progresses.

DON'T waste your money on this sorry film! Poor writing. Poor acting. One dimensional characters. A half-sentence log line. Devoid of plot. Boring. The disgusting part of this celluloid catastrophe is how it is a PR vehicle for the Mormon cult by depicting their street recruiters [erroneously called "missionaries"] as "victims" --when in real life their goal is to seduce innocent people into a dangerous cult which has destroyed millions of lives, causing psychological damage and suicides, and ripping out souls. The film delberately avoids the Truth about "Mormon Inc."---a corrupt 170 billion dollar business corporation masquerading as a "religion", calling itself a "church" (to avoid paying taxes and reporting to the SEC, who fined them five million dollars last year for taking gullible members "tithing money" and hiding it in illegal shell companies, then buying a mall with it in Utah!) Mormonism uses brainwashing on its victims---affecting them psychologically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, financially, socially, and sexually. The film is nothing but another PR gimmick for the Mormons, who over hyped it to the max. Its writer is Mormon Bryan Woods, a Wanna-Be screenwriter who penned three other horror schlock films which went no where. THIS celluloid castrophe is his worst yet. His chubby wife (Julia Glausi) produced it as well as his other three flops. They have a Mormon mind-set and are both so suffocated by Mormonism that they can't see the forest for the trees. Glausi couldn't produce a peanut butter sandwich. And hubby Bryan Woods is a loser as a "horror" writer---He puts you to sleep instead of scaring you. They are both so untalented and lacking in creativity that they could never produce anything of quality which requires honest, in-debth research...For example, a bio-pic of a famous person. In short, this husband-wife duo will never win an Oscar. They simply can't cut the mustard. The twisted film "Heretic" is totally disrespectful of Ex-Mormons--- especially those who are victims of Sexual Abuse by Mormon missionaries and return missionaries. [Look up documentation for this Abuse on the website floodlit.org]. The film flips Reality by depicting the Mormon street recruiters [erroneously called "missionaries"] as the "victims", when in real life Mormon recruiters' purpose is to seduce naive victims into a cult which destroys lives, causes psychologucal damage and suicide, and rips out their souls! Like Mormonism, this sick film opens the door to doubt and athiesm. It is no wonder that Christians and pastors around the world are quietly boycotting it. . Glausi and Woods are known by many in the film industry as being obnoxious, close minded (due to their Mormon mindset) and difficult to work with. Glausi wouldn't know a good development idea if it bit her in the ass. And Woods is so seeped in horror schlock genre he could never write anything like, for example, the bio-pic of a famous person. "The Heretic" angers a lot of anti-Mormons who have dedicated their lives to exposing the danger of Mormonism. And Christian pastors are disgusted that Mormons Glausi and Woods push theatre- goers down the soul-destroying path of athiesm to make a buck while advertising a harmful non-Christian CULT. They will get their Karma.

Here in southeastern Ontario, Canada, I'm fortunate to have an independent, three-screen cinema within a 20-minute drive of my home, which has announced it will begin showings of "Small Things Like These" on November 22nd. It's the same theatre where last March I saw--several times--"The Quiet Girl", another award winning film based on a book by Claire Keegan, "Foster", and directed by Irish film director, Colm Bairead. In fact, I can't help but think that the worldwide success of "The Quiet Girl", my favourite film of the past several years, helped facilitate the production of "Small Things Like These" by demonstrating how popular a film adaptation of a Claire Keegan story dealing with an Irish topic could be.

Just wondering if you have looked at Canada's history of mother's homes, stolen babies. It's happened in many countries.
@TomBrzezicki
@TomBrzezicki 21 күн бұрын
@@lenacraig377 Yes, from the 1950s through to about 1980, thousands of First Nations children were wrenched from their family homes and placed for adoption in white, middle-class Canadian homes, where they lost all sense of their language and culture. There were also the thousands of First Nations children who ended up in residential schools, where they were physically and sexually abused, many dying under mysterious circumstances.

@TomBrzezicki I appreciate your response Tom. Yes all that happened and many other countries as well. I have been researching and speaking to others in regards to the history of stolen children who we also sent overseas and many of them used as experiments also. I don't think that there is a proper count done as yet as to how many babies were stolen but it could go into hundreds and thousands, perhaps millions. Once again thank you.

Cillian Murphy and his Media/ Hollywood/establishment organisations/ government cronies hate the Catholic Church and wants to destroy it the same way the Rome empire wanted to destroy it. the Roman Empire is gone now, and the Catholic Church will not ever be destroyed try as they might. It might get smaller but it will never be destroyed✝️💪

With Cillian Murphy heading the cast, I'm sure you'll be seeing the film in the Antipodes before long. "The Quiet Girl" was released to tremendous public and critical acclaim in Ireland and the UK in mid-May 2022, but we didn't see it here in Ontario, Canada, until the following March, ten months later!
