You presentation was useful. I went through many videos and it was confusing because the intention of machinery wasn't explained. People spend time describing cards, pens and what a system is rather than how it is supposed to work. Your process makes it clear - read literature, Write temporary notes, take up an issue to solve (or from temporary) review notes and file answers with internal card references and/or bibliography. Keep single keywords in hub for fast access or organize a topic with keywords. Card numbers is hierarchical, doesn't matter what convention is used.

These are standard emojis (just like smilies) but you will need to scroll further in the emoji library

Hello, ive been using obsidian for 1 month and its so useful and simple, but since i linked my vault to iCloud my mind cant rest in peace thinking about if i use obsidian without internet, so my question is i have my phone with internet, if i use obsidian for example in my laptop (no internet) and modify files, create, etc and i have it linked to my iPhone, how bad the conflicts with files are?, uhh for example, after doing everything i need on my laptop, i want to create a new note but in my phone, will both link to iCloud without problems? (whenever my laptop connects to wifi)

That’s the problem with the iCloud sync! The files conflict could be bad. If you want to go with icloud i think you have to regularly back your notes :)

I do wish that Obsidian Sync was free for like 5MB free storage or something small. Anything above that (using images, videos, more) should cost money.

Thank you for this video. I adopted your Productive Thinking Methodology and tag my notes with note type. I‘m now wondering how it is possible to integrate „trivial/everyday“ notes (and not only notes about growth information) in this taging and folder structure? It would be great to use the PT-Method for the growth information too. How do you handle this? Thank you very much.

@ Thank you so much for your reply/help! I also use daily notes. My problem is more regarding finding these informations „burried“ in daily notes again later and how to be able to query them with the dataview plugin. (E.g you write a short entry about a beautiful place you‘ve visited in a daily note). Another thing are notes about something I own (information for devices for example, buying date, guarantee date etc.). It makes not much sense to have them in daily notes, but they aren‘t reference notes either (since I don‘t „consume“ them or they don‘t talk to me 🤔)?

Thanks Darin for the video. It's highly useful. I haven't decided an application. Bear app seems very appealing but when I think your organization I believe it might be difficult to find note. Because I see that you can find a note and related notes with the graph view feature in Obsidian. Actually it might not be just the Bear for other applications which doesn't have graph view can be difficult. For example, to see all related notes of a hub note at a time would be difficult. What do you think about it?

Nice framework! I use similar one from cybernetics - VSM (Viable System Model). It seems that logic is quite the same with 5 (sub)systems matching 5 levels. Did you hear about VSM by any chance?

I did this step by step but for some rease the laptop local vault and phone local vault did not sync properly. The Sync status still show "running" with a pause button. I tried several time the process in this video without success. Any help ?
