I love this version so much more than the sped up later versions . Plus it’s ‘82… it’s like 70’s-adjacent… the wood paneling- the flannel- just awesome

And first he’d tune it into some special non-standard tuning, and then explode on the instrument like he’s been training in that tuning all his life. Melts my mind.

My wish is that this documentary also focuses on a major ingredient in his performances: Michael's huge, grounded, heart energy he poured into every song. His loving, passionate presence was palpable in all 5 concerts I attended. My friends felt it too.

Year after year I would drive from Lake Elsinore CA to Mt. Shasta for the benefactor retreat with Yogiraj. The 11 hour drive would be filled with Michael Hedges' album of "Aerial Boundaries". It was my 15 year routine and Michael's beautiful genius was always leading me. His brilliance as a composer and guitarist never gets old. It is always an utter delight to hear his magical sounds come streaming into my heart and mind. He is IMHO, the G.O.A.T. ❤ Thank you Michael, you changed everything for all the guitarists in the world❤❤❤❤
