Yes it is still a great mic! I actually got the Rode Video Micro 2 last month and it was absolute trash I had to return it. Sticking to the NTG

So sometimes you’ll see a hand or a fist at the end of a shot in older skate tapes. I’ve been told that’s how some people mark which take they preferred for editing, do you know what i mean? Could you explain that better?

the hand in front of the lens was because we used to record to tape back in the day, and watching a whole 60min tape to find the landed tricks was too tedious. You would put your hand infront of the camera if something worth capturing happened, then when you fast forward/rewind the tape and you see the hand pop up for a split second you know to stop and capture that part

My Pro-Mist filter is 82mm since I bought it for another lens, so I had to use a couple step-down rings to put it on the Sirui lens

YOOOOO just realized who this comment is from!!! Editing is tough but I think we just over complicate it to ourselves over time. Need to go back to what it was like to edit on day 1 but with the skills we've acquired over the years. I'll be shredding the ashbridges bowl with you one day 😉
