So very true. I have also seen some disgusting watermarks by fellow bird photographers and tried to argue against it but have given up. 2024 is about to run out - thank you for all your videos throughout the year - I have learned a lot from them. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Denmark.

Thank you! The best way is to use the Content Authenticity Initiative method. Although still not foolproof proof. I always thought watermarking was basically advertising oneself. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Prices are different on this planet.. For the price you mentioned you can get the lens plus a Camera in europe.. Almost nobody is buying these older cameras, it is a great time as a buyer..

My solution to having a TC 1.4, was to set my D7500 fn2 button to image area size. With a press of the function button with my little pinkie, and one click of the command wheel the sensor image area crops to a 18 x 12 image size equal to a 1.3x extension. Yes it yields a smaller resolution, but after a day of photographing local sports and going through several hundred images, I can't pick any difference in quality and most chosen images get cropped to some degree anyway. I don't loose a stop of light and AF/iso are not impacted.
@CharlesNPhotography9 күн бұрын
Thanks for sharing your solution! I agree, and i you watch the video at kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqGYf6VqpbOcmM0si=k1FLwbszjp-06Fhd&t=317. You'll see that I mention this and why I wanted a TC 1.4.

What teleconverter works with Nikon Z6ii Do it fit Z As well 28-400 mm lens Thank you
@CharlesNPhotography12 күн бұрын
The Nikon TC1.4II and the Nikon TC1.4III work perfectly with the Z6II. Do not by any third-party adapter as they will not work. Been there, done that. These two TC's work perfectly with the FTZ Adapter. Remember that I'm talking about using these TC's with a Nikon F-Mount Lens that is supported. You cannot use the Nikon Z1.4TC with the Nikon 28-400mm

I use the Z8 with the 180-600mm for bird photography. Sometimes wthout the 1.4 TC and sometimes with the the TC. I shoot RAW and my experience is the same as yours. The 1.4 TC gets used on the other two lenses, the 100-400 and the 70-200 2.8 if needed.

Yes, the Z-TC is such a good piece of gear to help you reach further.

Great to hear! Yes sometimes we can be lead down the garden path, but I'm glad that I made the decision to buy a 1.4TC and don't regret it.
@JH-qv3xv15 күн бұрын
Charles, I think you are spot on with suggesting your viewers take a closer look at a teleconverter. I struggled with the TC issue about 4 years ago but figured out that reach was an important factor. There had to be a work around for just about every negative issue of adding a teleconverter. And just like you said, the WOW factor of being teleconverter closer out weighted any of the issues. I went the rental route first and quickly figured out what was best for me, not the influencer. I have moved from a 1.4 teleconverter with my 100-400 to one with my 200-800. Practice, editing software and number of pictures on the walls suggest there can be more positives than negatives for getting a teleconverter at least for my birds in flight photography. Thanks
@CharlesNPhotography15 күн бұрын
Thank you for your feedback. I'm regretting the lost opportunity of not buying a TC more than a year ago when I was offered a Nikon 1.4TC III for only $200, which was a steal, as these cost around $800 new. But happy that I'm finally using one and the photos that I'm getting a great.

Nice video. Went through the same angst before purchasing my extender. Then had problems as my camera focus didn't work at f8. Upgraded camera to mirrorless ( Canon system) and the extender hasn't left the camera since. Think your Red-capped Plover is a Black-fronted Dotterel .
