The scene in the bathroom where she cut her neck. Gut reaching, the poor woman was screaming for help and rest and for them to leave her alone. But they hounded her, insisted she kept going all for the Hollywood money making machine. Such a talent 😢

They couldn’t get the rights to the original songs that Judy sang. I wonder who sang them, MGM, WARNER BROS, Capital

It's a shame that Judy's marriage to Sid Luft did not last. He was good for her. Their money troubles didn't help.

If this were a theatre movie, she would have won the oscar for sure. It was cable, so at least she DID get the golden globe for best actress in a drama. Judy Davis is one of my favorite actresses. I've just always wondered why she doesn't get enough work.

Fantastic and very underated film which ive seen a few times now. As for JG herself - that powerful voice from such a tiny frail looking lady never ceases to amaze me. No doubt she was attention seeking and could be difficult but given that she was so manipulated in her early years, its hardly surprising but she always seemed so genuine and loving despite everything - and a great honest sense of humour l

addiction i hate it. it is treated as if it is the persons fault and that they are not nay good or worth wich is bull. I am so sick of the way this women was treated. It just makes me so sick . Like she deserves to be treated like a joke. Additction is a disease so treat it like it is . Thrwoning people in jail and taking there dignatiy away It is not a party for an addict . Trust ME

Maybe I'm late to the game on this revelation, but the audio clips of Rockabye and Over The Rainbow were from her Miss Show Business album.... I literally just discovered that today!! I'm sure most already knew that, maybe they didn't, but I thought that was cool. To me, her best versions of both songs.

You know what’s soooooooo sad about this. Her mother giving her uppers & downers at 10 years old and she never was able to become sober. This too happened to Matthew Perry. His mother gave him alcohol in his bottle as a baby to help him sleep as he stated during a program he was on shortly before his passing. He never could kick the habit of whatever he was on at the time. And it all stemmed from the parents🥲🥲🥲 God have Mercy on their souls, Rest in Peace Judy and Matthew. I pray you’re with our Lord who is sooooo Merciful. ✝️🙏📿❤️❤️❤️

What a truly beautiful, heartwarming- and -wrenching film about Judy Garland's life! The grinding machinery of the film business has destroyed so many stars. Yet if it really wants to, Hollywood can create marvelous, positive works which would have a positive effect on the world. The acting in this sensitive movie is so special, I was really impressed by the performers, and I appreciate the loving and respectful way Lorna showed her mother's life with all its struggles and triumphs! Thank you for uploading this gem, I enjoyed it throughout!

Have Jesus and some faith Avoid all this sinful crap Why does anyone wanna be around this Babylon crap why Pitiful and lost. All of Hollywood Btw Hollywood is straight outta the pit Child sacrifices snd all Look it up all you ol who look at this in a simple way. Because it’s deep it involves lack of God of Abraham If they say god they see not talkin about the real God They all worship the light bringer Lucy in the sky with diamonds. That’s not lsd either It’s Lucifer
