Cessationism does teach the whole Bible- they just teach specific passages closed the Canon and revelation ended there, that gifts and office of Apostle was a laid foundation that only is laid once- that the purpose of the gifts was to authenticate Christ as the Messiah. Cessationism vs Continuationism is a secondary issue- not a Gospel issue. So it’s far from the determining factor of someone’s salvation. Also, his failures are forgivable, and my prayer is that he has repented and God has forgiven him. Also, correlation doesn’t equal causation- that’s a logical fallacy. His failures are not tied to Cessationism. There are thousands of cessationists who haven’t had this same experience, AND there are millions of Charismatics/Continuationists who have committed adultery all over the world. So, let’s not falsely tie that particular doctrine to his sin of adultery. It’s a cheap shot and a fallacy. If I list 20 charismatics who have committed adultery will you repent from charismaticism? Just seems like a ridiculous attack on a doctrine. It’s not the doctrine’s fault that Steve Lawson sinned, any more than it’s charismaticism’s fault that Benny Hinn deceived a nation.

Further, if there was a doctrine that wasn’t being followed here it’s ecclesiastical, meaning doctrine that he needed to be a member of church, but he wasn’t. So, now nobody is claiming him to hold him accountable- which is a shame on everyone imo. We leave the 99 to get the 1, but everyone is suddenly stopped by membership but weren’t stopped by membership when it came to employing him as a preacher. Even the church in Dallas had him listed as a “lead preacher” and paid him to preach, not pastor. He wasn’t a member there.

@@sandyallen8837 This world will deceive you. Christ is all you need the word became flesh. And when Christ died and rose again and then left his disciples he sent the Holy Spirit! It’s a baptism from Jesus Christ to his people, his church. He comes to live inside his church. Acts is where every believer needs to go to and read and believe in the Kingdom of God. NOT in a denomination or a Bible school that uses Gods word to make $1,0000 of dollars to charge people for knowledge. God sends a free Gift and that’s the Baptism of The Holy Spirit. The Kingdom of God is not found in denominations or in anything of this world 🌎 All of Acts makes that very clear. The Spirit of God doesn’t lie. The purpose of this channel is for people to come to know God and step into a Real Relationship with him. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The one and only God that makes all things new. No money can buy this gift that is only given by God.

Oh my this song hits hard! I lost my 2 year and 9 months old son last Month October 18th. The pain is still very raw his pictures and videos of him pains me like hell. I still miss him so bad! And still wish it's only a nightmare that would come to pass! My only comfort and peace is Prayer and faith in my Saviour Jesus Christ and his promise.

Good Word, lady. As a born-again Christian woman more than twice your age, with one of my gifts being prophecy, I tell you that you will totally get past the temporal loneliness. It will hurt quite a bit along the way, call it what it is: "suffering" -- but it's the same walk Jesus walked and it's part of your sanctification, so walk on. People don't want to hear the truth, tell them anyway. We are Jeremiah, Isaiah, Elijah and the others. With experience, you will become SO strong in the face of unbelievers. They may kill you, but not without your having told them the truth. The goal is not necessarily to get them to listen or understand, it's to *tell them* -- because that's what God told you to do. That's the job. Also, consider that many people who are hostile or indifferent or slanderous to you now may come to believe *after* you/we are taken out of this earth, whether by bodily death or catching away. I think of all the hostility I myself put out to people before I got saved, in 1996. Most of those people are dead now, but the seeds they planted took root. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit." You many not like it, but God gave you the gift of prophecy. Not everybody has it. Those who do have asked for it, because it's [one of] the best gifts, or they are chosen for it. Either way, learn how to use it and rest assured God wouldn't have given it to you if he didn't WANT you to have it. If you haven't heard this excerpt from one of A.W. Tozer's books, I recommend it to you. It comforted me immensely and I go back to it now and again. It's an 11-min. narration. Warning ‼️ Cessationist They are Trying to protect their ministry. What God is doing is showing the people your false doctrine. Not only exposing sin but exposing false teachers. You guys do not preach the Jesus Christ that Baptize in the Holy Spirit and Fire 🔥 that John the Baptist has mentioned in scripture. Repent! All of you in this cessation movement. Steve Lawson may have been removed preaching a false doctrine. But God will heal and deliver Steve Lawson and open his eyes and use him for the Kingdom Of God. A man teaches only what he knows. Steve Lawson does not know the Jesus Christ that baptize with Fire 🔥

There is no difference. But The Holy Spirit is in the original language. The ESV Bible is very good to have.
