I tried doing this last year, and it didn't go well. The problem was where the mirror meets the back splash. Did you apply the liquid nail to the mirror or the wall?

I totally respect how you give the credit (in this case, to your dad) so he could help you build these tables. It’s very common for people to take credit when there is more to the story.
