I think this battle system is beloved by the fanbase for a reason, as people hail Graces as one of the greats, and thats definitely NOT for the story. Even the developers like it so much that every game afterwards takes inspiration from this battle system, but I will say it isnt perfect. It's very fast and responsive, focusing on dodging and taking advantage of openings, things that the game will reward you for with bonus cc upon proper execution. The title system and synthesis allow for a great amount of customization in terms of how you want to progress your characters. The faults of this battle system do come from how poor the ai party members are. Theres no form of item suggestion or auto items. In combat itself, its easy to get overwhelmed casters as the game has no magic guard, and being airborn at any point feels like a death sentence. Bosses have some busted mystic artes too, which ties into your biggest complaint with the game, the Overlimit mechanic: Eleth Burst. A meter that fills up based on performance in battle, not unlike other iterations, yet when it fills up, you dont get to control when it releases, so there's little strategy to be planned around it. It's better than Arise and Symphonia's Overlimits, as those games give you little information about it until it happens, so its again, hard to plan around, but seeing it build up still does little for a player with no control over it. The meter also fills up for the opposing side though, whether they are normal enemies or bosses, and that just means at any time your already capable enemy gets super armor and access to one-shotting or screen damaging mystic artes in the case of bosses. It may sound like there are a lot of cons which can frustrate many players, but if you can get past that, it is one of the most satisfying entries to play, coming from someone who has experience in almost every Tales battle system. Top 3 for me personally. I can see why the devs would want everyone to play what seems to be among their favorite games enough to make a remaster. If you really want to see how bad Graces battle system could be, play Zestiria. Its basically Graces but worse in almost every way.

personally i find it good to try something new and different in the gameplay , and the cards system is very well made

My first game on my first real computer (one that wasnt just orange text). Played for the Macintosh which was doubly exciting because Mac games were few and far between. Love this game

This Game is heavily unbalanced. The minigames are boring and the secret bosses are the worst designed crap ever made. But damn the Game is super fun

Boot lickers. The port is somewhat competent at best. We have had way better and for free.

There's something special about pulling out a disk or cartridge and inserting it in the Nes, Snes, Dreamcast, and ps1 & 2. It takes me back and creates a specific feeling. But, I've noticed what you say about the price gouging. There are many I would love to buy but can't afford them. I'm lucky that I still have many from my past. However, I've noticed with persistence, patience, haggling, and a little bit of luck, I have been able to find a couple of them I wanted.

I actually got those for free on my phone full game almost all of the retro games I downloaded the files and play it on delta app

I habe the open earbuds from ONN and they are by far my favorite earbuds i can have them on and still hear everything around me perfect for gaming of listening to a podcast or just some music sometimes i even have to take them off to see where the sounds are coming from lol

For me it's the Sega saturn controller its perfect for all the exellent arcade ports the Saturn has and for 2D fighting games especially with the face buttons layed out the same as most arcades at the time and its top tier D dap that still to this day has been none better than it.

Game needs a comeback for sure.

But no mouse look for those fans who want that.

I love Doom. Been a huge fan since 1993. Wolfenstein got ID the attention, but Doom was the game that propelled the company to great heights though.

I've played and finished Star Wars Jedi: Survivor recently, but the best Star Wars game in my book is Shadow of the Empire, on the Nintendo 64.

I love playing Doom with a controller, well I love to play Doom full stop but specifically with motion controls. Sorry, not sorry.

would be cool if the 3d0 versions music was an option, but as is, its a blast, if you have game pass you have no excuse not to play this
