yup! any art program with transparent exports can be used to draw the model, as stated in the video

When I add a sprite I get a notice that the sprite was successfully added, but nothing appears. Tried zooming in and out, looking around, but nothing. I can select the layer, but it is never actually visible. Anyone have any ideas?

check that its not either behind another layer (use Q/E to lower or raise the index), or if its a sprite sheet with frames, increase the number of frames to match to bring it into view

I'm trying to decide between this and Veadotube, one thing that I really like about Veadotube is that you can create multiple versions of your PNGTuber for different expressions and toggle between them. Is this something that PNGTuber Plus can do too?

it is, with the added bonus of not needing to redraw the entire model, just the expression itself since PNGtuber+ has actual layers! ive personally used both veadotube and PNG+ and liked both for toggles, but liked PNG+ more because i could individual rig layers for more expressive models

what exactly do you mean by threshold? png+ does not have audio level tracking, just basic on/off

if the sprite name is too long, or contains unoque characters, the program might be struggling to load it in try resaving the asset in a different folder in the PNG+ directory?

Do you have recommendations if for some reason pieces can’t be selected? I’ve been trying to link the hair to the head but the head will not be selected unless I scroll to that layer

you can click on the layer directly in the layer panel in the most current version!

this program is good but it does way too much if you just want a basic pngtuber all i want is for it to float when i talk and be still when im not and i feel like im doing rocket science just to figure it out

try fugitech if you're looking for a basic talk/no talk option! veadotube is also good, and in png+'s defense it is called PNGtber *plus* lmfao

you can use the toggle states (blue squares below physics panels) but theres no easy way to have these overlap with other toggles (i.e. arms) without overlapping with each other

I want to use this program but when I go to edit a specific element (like body/eye/etc) the options close the second I click on them. Maybe a reinstall is needed??

try a reinstall; it sounds like something accidentally got toggled to mouse click (which auto closes the editing ui since the program is assuming you're purposefully hitting a keybind) if you still run into trouble, give me an exact rundown of how youre navigating the UI

Hello! I'm having an issure with my pngs? When I turn Texture Filtering on, I get these small weird black pixels around each png? Its okay when I turn it off but then I get these jagged lines whenever the png moves. Iv researched around and found that its apparently because of the way you export the image? I tried exporting them in multiple different softwares, but i havent found a fix. Im wondering if any1 knows what to do? Any info would be greatly appreciated 🙏 thank you.

I'll try and give this a shot with my next personal model! will report back if i figure anything out, but my guess is if the edges of your png model arent pixel perfect (think fully opaque, clean edges), any artifacts will be emphasized

how to toggle a costume without being in the window of pngtuber ?

just make sure your costume is toggled to a state (1-10 at the bottom of the physics panel in editing mode) or to a hotkey (input box is under the 10 toggle states) as long as your png window isnt minimized, it should toggle just fine

not a formal one! it uses the same fundamentals outlined in the video; just draw a few different mouth forms for your talking sprite, and you should be good!

i just found a way you can export all layers at the same timeISH so you need to export it as a psd, then import it into photopea (a web-based photo editor thingy) then in the file tab theres an option called "export layers" theres like 3 options that are automatically selected just unselect them and then you can export :D ALSO make sure you name your layers with names that dont have any special characters because each png will keep its layer name and you cant export afterwards (though you should already name them as you go for easier navigation) this is a lot of steps but when theres a lot of layers to export this is a huge time saver

you are not the first person to ask, and while I'm flattered, and am okay with you doing so for personal use, i do want to emphasize that 1) since this was made for png+ in mind, the layers are not optimized at all for l2d! 2) im assuming you already know, but you'll have an easier time with the paid model with separated assets o7

@@tsurudraws i found what the problem was. duplicating will place the new sprite linked to the old sprite. i done it by adding new one and link it manually .. it works now i got 10 different expression now

I know how to draw on a sketchbook, but I cannot draw on a digital tablet. Its kinda difficult for me. So what I do is take a picture of my work from the sketchbook and then pass it over to my PC and then work with it on photoshop.

THANK YOU for this!! The tutorial included is great but it's a little simple, and your explanation of how to crop your images was super helpful. I didn't even know you could make more complicated models like the fullbody you mentioned <3

thank YOU for using it! i tried to provide enough foundational knowledge for folks to experiment with! imo best way for folks to learn and create unique models is to take basic skills and apply them even the fullbody model i showed at the end uses only very basic techniques! i hope you're able to have fun experimenting yourself! 💖
