I sat and watched the episode at lake Cassien last night. Wow... what a journey that was ! I was so sad for you when the two other guys were catching big lumps and all you had was a Tench, small carp and a catfish. THEN... Right at the end you get the 70 pounder !! I was so happy for you I was fist pumping like it was the world cup and England had just scored against Germany :O) I don't mind admitting, I got quite emotional. BLOODY MARVELOUS !

Ali is a true carp angler. I started in 88 and every carp was precious because it was hard work to catch anything of a size at all, 20lbs were monsters to us. Ali seems to take pride in everything that picks up his bait. 20lb or 60lb, he’s chuffed. Brilliant Al.

Late 70s early 80s we were lucky to get a 10lber in the northeast 18lber if you got one you were the man.
