(Lyrics) The Nearness Of You : It's not the pale moon that excites me That thrills and delights me, oh no It's just the nearness of you It isn't your sweet conversation That brings this sensation, oh no It's just the nearness of you When you're in my arms And I feel you so close to me All my wildest dreams come true I need no soft lights to enchant me If you'll only grant me the right to hold you ever so tight And to feel in the night the nearness of you

Softly as in a mornin' sunrise The light of love comes stealing Into a newborn day Flamin' with all the glow of sunrise A burning kiss is sealing The vow that all betray For the passions that thrill love Lift you high to heaven Are the passions that kill love And lead ya down to hell Same old story ... Softly as in an evenin' sunset The light that gave you glory Will take it all away

The count in is a bit weird, but very nice practice to.
@ImprovYourMusic6 ай бұрын
Thank you :) Yes since the anacrusis can be quite long depending on the interpretation, I did one measure of complete count (1-2-3-4) and one empty measure to play the anacrusis as wanted.

Someday, my prince will come Someday, I'll find my love And how thrilling this moment will be When the prince of my dreams comes to me He'll whisper, "I love you" And steal a kiss or two Though he's far away, I'll find my love someday Someday, my prince will come Someday, I'll find my love And how thrilling this moment will be When the prince of my dreams comes to me He'll whisper, "I love you" And steal a kiss or two Though he's far away, I'll find my love someday

BLUE IN GREEN SONGTEXT Tossed between The sky and sea, We'll sail Until we find the harbour lights. A life is but a dream Of blue in green although it seems The end draws nearer with each passing day We'll always sail This way, until We find our home.

@@ImprovYourMusicMy favorite jazz harmonica player is Toots Thielmans. I cannot play like him at all so I learn what I can and do my own thing. My boyfriend is a professional bebop saxophonist (and clarinet) so he's guiding me on how to add jazz. I'm starting late on this stuff. It's been rewarding.☺

You are the promised kiss of springtime That makes the lonely winter seem long. You are the breathless hush of evening That trembles on the brink of a lovely song. You are the angel glow that lights a star, The dearest things I know are what you are. hi, the fifth chords in every sequence is Aminor7, the III° of the progression, not FMaj7

Hi, Yes you're absolutely right ! I put it because it is a usual substitution. You may see it as a rootless Fmaj9. Is it inconvenient for practicing ?

Is the triangle and circles with slash sharps and flats? Thankyou.
@ImprovYourMusic Жыл бұрын
The triangle is short for Maj7 (major chord with major seventh), And circle with slash is short for half-diminished (min7 b5, a minor chord with diminished fifth and minor seventh).
