Hey Sam, Yeh man still riding. Literally just got back from a ride out and saw your comment. Haven’t got the virago anymore, never got round to doing a vlog on it. As you can tell I haven’t done a vlog for a long time. Back in 2017 personal times were tough and I just lost my way with vlogging. Hopefully get back into it sometime. Thanks for watching ✊

Hi Ryan mate. Yes I would recommend it in a heartbeat. I loved that bike and I regret selling it every time I recall the awesome rides I had on it. At the time I was very narrow minded in wanting a big bike after getting my DAS license. But to this day I wish I still had it. It was so unique with the the mileage for its age and the pinstripe decal. If I ever come across it again I would buy it back. Hope ya manage to find one mate and I hope it brings you as much joy as it did me. Thanks for watching fella. Tcrs ✊

I plan to buy the honda rebel, yamaha dragstar, yamaha virago, or suzuki marauder, all 125s. Some advices or comparison for all them? Thanks a lot man. Now it will be winter so ill probably go for the license in the spring, lol. Btw im 16 and i love cruisers, i liked keeway superlight 125 but the friend who rides a virago told me to go only for the big brands, yamaha, suzuki, honda, kawasaki if i want my motorcycle to last long and if i want to do some serious riding, then dont buy the keeway and the kymco one i saw. Any advices would be great, thank you dude!

Hey Ivano. That's awesome that you're getting into biking. Yeh man, your mate is right, stay away from anything that's not a big brand, especially anything Chinese!! In my opinion the Dragstar is the coolest looking. My second choice would be the Virago, then the Marauder and lastly the Rebel. All good bikes though and bullet proof. Try and find one with low as possible mile on the clock and find one that's been well looked after. For me, I would also try and find one that hasn't been modified in any way, try and find one that is all original. A good one will last you for years. Yeh man, its getting a bit cold now, not too bad with all the right gear on. But its easier to learn in the spring weather. Hope you manage to find the perfect one for you. Welcome to the brotherhood dude. Tcrs fella✊️

@@Doticaster holy crap dude, didnt realize you will react right now😂😂 thanks a lot friend, just now im talking to that friend, he said the dragstar is pretty cheap and that for the learning purposes virago is the best for him. We would say for ex that virago is a mustang, gsxr is a lambo and dragstar is like a truck judging by its stability and etc. Does a year of the used bike matter a lot? My friend said that it doesnt, that newer bikes that are fucked up are worse then a garaged used bike. Also, should i have a windshield? Does that matter a lot or what? In my opinion its good, because at speeds like 90 and 100 kmh you dont have to hang on your bars like a horse without the windshield. Hope you reply to this too. Legend.

@Doticaster
@Doticaster 4 жыл бұрын
@@ivanokriletic2428 No worries, I always try and reply. It comes down to personal preference in the end mate. For me the Dragstar is the king, its bullet proof and I found it has the best centre of gravity. The bikes you are looking at are all very similar. It depends what appeals to you. Age doesn't really come into it. Its the condition and how many miles its done is what you should keep a look out for. As I've said they are bullet proof but you want one that's been well looked after and preferably garaged. A windshield is a good idea for any long trips you plan on doing. It keeps you warmer when cruising and the flies away. If you can find one that comes with saddle bags, even better! Tcrs fella✊️

It look pretty heavy and im not sure if it is that way, but on the other hand maybe it isnt? I have a lot to do before buying a motorcycle, and im not even sure if i can go for the license now, or on november, when its my bday. Im not sure if i can do it because the cold weather is coming soon and if you look you will see that i dont have anything lmao. Helmet, gear, license, bike, nothing. Gorgeous, Stunning bike for sure, but why did you choose an 1100 over the over cc's Virago models..? Any particular reason..? Alreet fella. Kinda answered this in my previous reply, lol. Even though this was a later choice it's purely for the ease at which she cruises fully loaded up. Just makes the ride more pleasant. Areet Marra.. How's it garn.? I used to live out in God's country (Cumbria) now live in Norn Iron.. Served here in the bad old, good old days (80's) Anyway, I've been riding a YBR125 I bought for my oldest son, as he's living in Cumbria (whilst he did Uni there, and hasn't had time to re-do his CBT.. He had a slow as feck Suzuki Marauder, but sold it. I told him Yammy all the way, so got him the YBR, I WANTED to get him a XVS125, but REALLY expensive nowadays, bet you wished you'd kept that stunning example you had...!! Why ever get rid of it.? I hear you got a heavy 1100 version.. Why not just up to a 250cc version..? The speed limit is still attainable on a 250 and cost less to run, surely..? I've clocked up just over 5,000 miles (all throughout this last Autumn storms, hurricanes, etc and ALL winter) on the YBR, now ready for the big licence, but for the Stay Indoors plan... Will keep the wee 125 YBR (for Son re-doing CBT) then I plan on getting a 250cc Virago or XVS as they're known.. Gorgeous looking bikes.!

Alreet dude, how goes it. Yeh Cherry was an awesome bike loved it to bits. I've said in many of my vids speed is not important to me at all, just riding and cruising along. She was a stunning example and yes I wish could have afforded to keep the bike. But at the time I was doing a lot of rallies and charity rides and it was just too much hard work for the wee girl being fully loaded up with enough gear for the weekends away. So I had to go bigger for what I was going to use the bike for. Plus doing hundreds of miles fully loaded up wasn't good my own well being either, it was very stressful on the body. Sweet the ybr is nice machine, it's what I did my cbt on too. Yeh your right the prices of the XVS has gone up a lot in the last few years they've very sort after. Which is understandable, they're good bikes that will run forever. Thanks for the sub Tcrs fella Stay safe Dotty✊

Cheers mate. Yeh the sound the engine makes on these is great, nice and throaty for a 125. My 1100 Virago sounds great. I too regret selling the 125 Dragstar. I loved the bike, wish I hadn't sold it. Hope you manage to get yours soon mate. Tcrs fella✊️

@@Doticaster 1100 Virago... magnifique.

Yes mate, totally agree. The feeling you get when riding is unexplainable, but the best feeling in the world and bikers are some of the best people you'll ever meet. It's a brotherhood. Don't be in a hurry to get a bigger bike, enjoy your 125. No matter what size bike you have you can still only go at the speed limit. It doesn't matter what you ride, all that matters is that you do ride ✊️

I know exactly what you mean. Mostly had cruisers (Yam XV750, Triumph America, Kawa Vulcan 900, couple of Midnight Stars 950's). But I'd reached 60+ years old, and my knees and body weren't so good so I decided to get something lighter. A Suzuki SV650 (light, great engine, murderous seat) and a Yam 650 Diversion (preferred twins, poor seat again) came and went last summer. So in September I bought a scooter to get me through this winter (I ride all year round) and to save some pennies for a bike this spring. And, the bike I seemed to overlook was the Vulcan S 650, probably because it wasn't a V-twin. But at just 500lbs (and feeling much lighter to ride) and with the ability to cruise around looking at the scenery or to be able to have a bit of a blast, this bike seems to have the best of both worlds. Can't wait to get one in the spring for touring. I'm glad you enjoy yours. Good reviews. Ride safe mate.

Cheers mate. Glad you liked the review and vid. Wow, you've got an amazing bike history there. You won't be disappointed with the Vulcan S. You might want to test the seat out though, lol. It's my only real complaint about the bike. It's ok for a hundred mile or about an hour. But after that you definitely need to stretch your legs. I'm going to do a 1year ownership review for my next vid. Haven't had the time due to life issues recently hence the lack of recent content. Thanks for watching. Tcrs fella✊️

Got a Vulcan 900 which I cannot stand when riding on the highway at 110km/h+. The vibration and the feeing of the engine about to explode drive me nuts, I wonder if the smaller but sportier 650 engine inline twin will be better at high speed cruising...
@Doticaster
@Doticaster 6 жыл бұрын
I feel your pain mate. I to looked at the Vulcan 900 when I was getting rid of the MT 09 tracer. But I watched so many reviews on KZbin on the Vulcan 900 that I was put off it for exactly the reasons you mention. If you fancied the Vulcan S you would not regret it mate. I'm sure you know the engine is out of the ninja and it certainly performs, it won't rip your arms off but if you open it up you definitely have to hang on!! It does everything really well. I've been to rallies on it fully loaded up with luggage and it was great and it's perfect for ride outs as well as just nipping to the shops on. It's easy to ride, handles like a dream. Only two things I don't like about the Vulcan S, which are, the seat. The seat is not the comfiest, after about 100mile you're ready for a break and a walk about to stretch your legs. The othe is the gear shifter lever, I find it fairly difficult to get my boot around it to change up, but I've got used to it now. And of course there is the ergo fit system which is awesome. You'll be able to get the bike to fit you perfectly. Go and have a sit and a test ride mate. I don't think you'd be disappointed. Tcrs fella ✊

About 98% of the folks complain about the Vulcan S' seat. it sucks that here in Canada most dealers won't let you even test ride any so unless I find someone around me that has one I'll have to just take a leap of faith. I'm seriously intrigued by a sport touring engine inside a cruiser's body
@Doticaster
@Doticaster 6 жыл бұрын
That's a bugger mate, it's crazy to not let you test ride. Put a call out on fb, someone might help you out. The seat is fixable, there are plenty of companies that will put some gel in it, I think Corbin is a famous one. I don't think you'd be disappointed mate if you did leap. It's got the speed of a sports bike in a comfy frame with all the tools for touring. If you don't find anyone to let you have a go, try and get to a bike show and have a sit. You'll know if it feels right. Tcrs fella ✊

So this bike comes with the gear indicator?? Cause if does I was lied too.. I was in motorcycle dealership yesterday in Las Vegas and I was looking at this bike and the Honda rebel 500 abs and I walked through the whole dealership and every bike I looked I asked if it had a gear indicator and they said cruisers don’t have gear indicators and i was sitting on the bike for 5 Minutes ( the Vulcan) and they told me it don’t come with a gear indicator. So that’s strange and it was a 2018. I walked away because it didn’t have a gear indicator but come to find out it does! Wow great video! I think they were misinformed or something

Did my first rally on it a couple of weeks ago and even luggaged up she's still a dream to ride. Thanks for watching. Tcrs fella ✊
