Sir, Namaste. I have seen this video pertaining to "Polarity test of transformer.. You have assigned + and -- notations for terminals. How to assign "dot" (.) notations to the terminals instead of assigning + ( positive) and -- ( negative) negative notations If positive (+) terminals are adjacent, it is Subtractive polarity. If. DOTS are adjacent , in place of + terminals, does it mean current entering the DOTS?. If currents entering the adjacent DOTS, is it Subtractive polarity. Pl explain as I am confused . (K.s.c.bose/ Retd engineer)

hii pradeep 1) dot convention is used to denote direction of induced emfs. 2) additive and substractive polarity is a method using KVL to identify the polarity. so polarity method is used for application of dot convention. hope you will be cleared after this!
