Just keep in mind that in the Shopper’s Challenge Round, you oftentimes need to wait until the Question has fully been read before pressing the red button in front of you.

I respect that Wink wanted to leave Tic Tac Dough and persue other opportunities but I think that was a mistake not just because his replacement (Jim Caldwel) brought that show to it's end but also because I felt like this show was kind of boaring compared to Tic Tac Dough and it wasn't a success at all. I know I shouldn't be biased and compare those two consestantly because I do find this to be creative and a bit interesting but I wasn't around when a lot of these events occured and I don't even read or watch the news so I wouldn't even know half of this material. At least Wink would have better luck with his next project which was the reboot of High Rollers.

Blame Dan Enright. Martindale did not get along with him.
@mitchellries2563 жыл бұрын
@@SuperUkcats I don't understand why Jack Barry wanted Enright as a business partner. He rigged 21 and the original Tic Tac Dough, he went against Barry after his death and didn't hire Jim Peck to host The Joker's Wild and he made so many other changes to the company that he forced so many people to resign.

@@mitchellries256 - Possibly ownership rights. That, or Jack was naive. Oddly enough, Geoff Edwards got along with Dan Enright and hated Jack Barry.

@Carol Montoya Okeefe, yes, back then, this 1993's "Shop 'Til You Drop" game show had Mr. Patrick "Pat" J. Finn as its former host just as his previous studio announcer there was Mr. Mark L. Walberg!

So this has to be the season premiere, aired on April 5, 1993 and by the time this episode aired, Supermarket Sweep was still either airing first-run episodes from Season 4 or they already begun filming episodes for Season 5 with installments of the International Bread Center, the $100 Candy Corner and the new VHS section but also installed the high scare factor version of the TV Mystery Product which never gets mentioned when nobody found the mystery product and the rare yellow scoreboards.

Agreed-in fact, here's a high idea: incorporate some of the "Headlines" Jay Leno did. _That'll_ really bring in ratings! Take this, for example: _ _ N , S H _ T _ _ _ _ E _ N H E _ _ , _ E _ _ _ _ _ ! (from the Metro & State section of The Charleston News, April 9, 1993) $500 - Clue 1: Don't you hate people whose lose their temper? Letters added in: _ _ N , S H _ T _ _ I _ E _ N H E _ D , _ E _ S M A _ ! $400 - Clue 2: When bullets fly, they really fly! Letters added in: _ A N , S H O T _ W I _ E _ N H E A _ , _ E _ S M A _ ! $300 - Clue 3: Sounds like double trouble! Letters added in: _ A N , S H O T _ W I _ E I N H E A _ , G E _ S M A _ ! $200 - Clue 4: Guess who's holding the smoking gun? Letters added in: _ A N , S H O T _ W I C E I N H E A _ , G E T S M A D ! $100 - Clue 5: Target acquired Letters added in: M A N , S H O T T W I C E I N H E A D , G E T S M A D ! Answer: MAN, SHOT TWICE IN HEAD, GETS MAD! Question 1: What provoked this shooting? Question 2: What was the shooter's motive for it?

I see that they're using the "tell the home viewers how many words are in the headline" bit, which I dislike, but I do like how every second word is underlined in red to make it easier to tell them apart.
