Most of these scenes makes perfect senses for much of the things the characters did just afterwards. I mean, they were necessary.

Ohhhh, THIS is where all the awesome scenes from the book came from! Gosh, the book was so much better for having had these!

Most of this movie is retro nostalgia, and doesn't reflect how Amish society is, as we now know

The scene with Nolan and the activities brought more depth how the school.is disciplined but takes away choice. BUT it slowed down the 1st day of school AND showed that Nolan does ask the students about their families and such. Something that was implied they don't think of them as people but just students, something Nolan hit home at Neils service.

this movie would have been 10 times better with these scenes. the final movie lacks depth and development of its characters

6:33 I like how the FBI was covering all bases on who could've kidnapped the kid including people worked on a commercial for Tom's airline, but they didn't look closer like people who were actually in Tom's house like the caterers for a party (eg-Maris).

I just don't understand why these scenes weren't in the movie. They were perfect, and added so much to the story. Beyond that, they only added 15 minutes to the total run time! I just don't get it.
@Bull19082 ай бұрын
Wish these scenes were on the DVD or a future blu ray release. There was also a scene that had Neil's funeral and Keating tries going to Neil's parents to extend condolences where his father vowed to hold him personally responsible for his death

The scene with Neil and Todd, when Todd says « what, me? » broke my heart okay ?? They must should keep it in the movie ! It’s a crime to delete this ☹️

Okay, but in the scene where they go to the dock, when Neil says "I love this", you can hear Todd say "What?Me?". And It warms my heart on so many levels

What surprised me was Cubby was the one who snatched Sean yet he was the kidnapper that showed Sean the most compassion.

Its your headcanon. Dont try to pass if off as a fact. If i would be friends with a dude and i know that hes shy and i see him finally coming out of his shell and a more confident person i would also look at him like this. We as men want our boys to grow and we are happy when they do. Also these two were best friends. Why do women or queer people always try to make male friendship into love. You know that there are many versions of love.

Watching these todd and neil scenes straight after watching the movie for the first time makes so much more sense…. Todds shyness in the first scene and neil continually looking at him. And now it makes sense why todd ran to the lake…. 😢😢😢
