Get yourself a decent jack that comes with cars and trucks and use a drill to spin it up and down. Now make a little saddle to hold the PTO and your golden.🫡… also depending on the truck you can even hold up a starter in place so you dont have to struggle as much😎🦅

@@That_guy_mcfly found the source. So by "Autotraders" standard of "maintaining a car" were these 6 things: 1. Using a sunshade 2. Scrubbing the battery 3. Maintain proper fluids 4. Make sure tire pressure is correct (not inflating it, just checking) 5. Preparing for an emergency(???) 6. Replace your wipers They didnt go further but presumably, if you answered yes to any of these, it probably added that to the tally. I only say this to give the more serious DIYers more credit, thats all.

That front axle is the same Dana 44 ford uses in 1973 F100. Even the 1973 Bronco is setup like that. Just narrower. Coil sprung 3 link with radius arms with the C- clamp. Those rubber bushings always wear out. Then the truck likes to shake at hwy speeds. Buy the polyurethane version.

Nope. Go find a Lincoln with a 460 Dove engine. 10.5:1, slap a mild cam in it, carb and headers, good to go for ynder $2k, build a trans that likes torque. Pass anything but a gas station...

Fun Project! A lot of tough fixes!! Noticed some newer building materials when you were ripping out the original. That pho mdf brick paneling is a newer type product...weighs a ton. You gonna go with lighter weight materials? Good luck!!

Yeah in the near future I’m getting a blueprint crate engine with a 5 speed. But I’m gonna go with auto because all my other cars are standard. It would be nice not to worry about shifting while I’m out on the road you know!😉

Automatic is great and all until it goes out then you gotta replace the whole thing - and it being a 4x4 campervan that would be a bummer if the tranny gave out in the middle of no where - been there done that- but on the standard just put an extra clutch pack with your tools for that rainy day - but either way them vans are rare anymore - good luck and be safe fixen it @@That_guy_mcfly

Please do a more in depth video on who did the 4x4 conversion, what parts they used, what front axle and transfer case is used and good views of the front suspension. My son has a 1969 E300 and we are thinking about a 4 wheel drive swap. didnt know any company did these conversions. New subscriber! The grill guard came with the van. It might of been custom. Or a factory option from ford when they sold the quadravan 👍
