I lived in Kitwe 1972 to 92 as an expat. Was good to see i can still recognise the things in the video. I used to live in Liberia st at the bottom of central st, Mwandi Cres in riverside. I was also given extra maths lesson in the copperbelt uni by a very strict Indian lecturer, but it did me some good. USed to walk through tthe bush back to central st and never had a problem. Mindola was a great place to visit and its a shame you didnt manage to get some vids of the golf club, Cricket / squash club etc.

That border is very busy, governments needs to establish functioning markets, Africa needs business minded leaders
Once lived in Parklands, Kitwe along Freedom Avenue. Now in diaspora.

Very healthy animals . I wish you could give us an estimate how much in trade value is exchanged in that borde r ?. it is look like among the 9 countries that share border with DRC , Zambia/DRC border is the biggest in volume.

Point of correction, Lubumbashi is the second largest city of DRC and not third, and the population is around five million and not one million.

Thank you. Makes sense, that 1 million sounded ridiculous lol

This is sad 😪. All that trade could be made better if the two govts. could listen to the citizens, it is a shame in 21st, century Africa still require permits of each other to cross borders. As long as we keep electing thieves and looters - this is our destiny

Yes brother. Other nearby countries also. It makes a tough situation tougher to the gain of only a few. People fear competition when reality suggests increased trade for all. Bless.

Thanks for such a nice video, very insightful. That's a great business hub, which is just lacking adequate infrastructure to enhance growth in every sector that is transport, food chains, hospitality you name it.The problem we lack leaders with vision.
