What kind of A clarinet is this ? Looks strange.

This is a Basset clarinet- a longer A clarinet with 4 half tones lower, going all the way down to a low written C, sounding A.

This piece has been played to death by students so I welcome some new life injected via fast tempos by a master player. It is played so often because it is short and conveniently classical, in a field where there isn't much choice. Students now have the piece by John Williams called "Viktor's Tale," which is better at showing what a clarinet can express.

Close your eyes. You do not look at music. You listen to it. And this is a heavenly piece, excellently performed. All musicians move. And everyone has an own style of movement.
