I have a Greenworks 40volt battery powered grass trimmer which will not work, Hreenworks agents in the UK will not accept it for repair as it is out of warranty BUT neither will they tell me where to send it to be repaired.

if you think you are going to replace the line ... make sure you have a suitable diameter line, a 1 or 2 line type device and that you know how to replace the line (not as simple as you might think).

I don’t know what the hell you’re cutting, but the 80v 10” Greenworks that I wasted money on wouldn’t cut a fart. 😠 Soft pressure, solid pressure, oiled and tightened correctly…nothing. 1/2 way through a measly branch no bigger than my middle finger, damned thing was smoking and spilling oil out the poorly-designed cap and binding up. Refused to cut smoothly; just bounced up and down, very choppy. Unwieldy design, the shoulder strap is useless…wish I’d never wasted my money on this piece of junk. You out there, don’t fall for these videos. They must’ve pre-cut branches or glued styrofoam ones on those trees. I am FURIOUS. 😡

They then tell you no returns on refurbished items they sell you. Terrible, website says they accept returns cleaned up. There is a reason they turn off comments on Greenworks

I have the 40v strimmer and brushcutter. Is it normal for it to shake when you put the brushcutter blade on. I was fine using the strimmer and when I changed to the blade it scared me so I put it away and used my secateurs 😅 everything was tightened as far as it would go too!

Mowers great but .......Batteries are terrible after only 8 charges battery quit taking a charge!!!! Greenworks customer service is so bad your lucky if they call back! NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE YOU HAVE TO LEAVE A MESSAGE. After spending $350. on mower and $180 on 2nd battery very very very disappointed. SHOULD OF PURCHASED A STIHL!!!!!!

That mower test is disingenuous, run-time is significantly better for the mower when theres no resistance to the motor ie not mowing anything. Theres a significant difference in runtime even between wet-grass and dry-grass let alone vs mowing nothing at all.

I bought one of their cordless lawn mowers in the UK last year, their service here in UK is utter crap, they don't even bother answering you, I tried several times, went to check on Trustpilot , they have 2 stars, so they treat other customers with contempt too, you will notice they unlike other companies to reply to reviews there, they really don't give a shi*, If I had known how crap their service I would never have bought any of their products, that was my first and LAST product i BUY FROM Greenworks, shame on you Greenworks not that you care.

I bought my Greenworks 21" self-propelled with (2) 5.0 AH 80 Volt batteries in 2022. It worked great until this year, 2024. I talked to Greenworks over phone and the lady guided me to several things to try to fix the problem. What she shared was a) check battery life (Good), b) Pull out the switch between batteries and reinstall after about 20 minutes, (Done), c) Next be sure to start this way - first hit start button, and then engage the handles to start position, (Done), then she said try it and it worked better but still was grabby as I tried to corner ( I did release the gear before turning, but the wheels [sometimes the right and sometimes the left] but mostly left one locks up and it still sounds like loud grinding of the gears). The nearest repair shop for Greenworks is an hour from me in Jackson TN. I know it is warranted still but I will also have to give up the mower for a long time for them to repair and get back to me. Meanwhile I will have to hire my yard mowed. The lady said if I want to send to a repair shop to call back and she will send me an authorization for repair to take to the repair shop. I am rather perplexed about this problem, but will be calling the person back now about 1 month after we first talked. They think they can fix everything by phone. Interesting.

Very disapointed in my 40v. I purchased it in August 18 2023 and by June 2024 in zone 5 I cant even finish my front lawn! Takes me 2-3 days to finish my lawn because I have to keep charging.

I bought one of these and it started out just fine, but little into my lawn it stopped working. The battery is charged. I changed the battery to see if that was the problem, but it still didn't start. I thought the string was in wrong, but it was working and now I can start it. How can I get it running again? Can I get a replacement? Should I just return it since it doesn't work?

I wish more how-to videos were like this. Tongue-in-check humor, down to earth, practical knowledge and wisdom, along with a nice touch of whimsy. Looks like you all had fun making this video and it shows. Bang-up job all around. Cheers!

Bought my first green works equipment from Lowe’s last week. As a disabled veteran I was disappointed that I could not get my discount on your power washer. Just to let you know this will be the last piece of green work equipment I will ever buy. If y’all hate veterans that much I will make sure that I tell all my military buddies to not buy your stuff either. Sad !
