Interesting that you post every senior session even if you have done a past session at the same location. My SEO mentor told me to only post blogs once from a certain location/venue because otherwise if you post multiple blogs about a session at the same location/venue, you will actually be competing against yourself from an SEO standpoint.

I’m in the process of subscribing to photo mechanic but you know what Lightroom classic does the same thing when you load photos into it during import. You can fly through photos if you uncheck as in import then open large view or single view then scroll through it’s really fast to pick good or bad ones. Tell me your thoughts? Thank you. 🙏🏽

Shooting jpg embeds your camera profile data (the profile usually found in your shooting menu) so if you change it to bw your image will be bw there’s no going back, if your shooting vibrant then your images you take will be also, which if you are also using multiple camera bodies your images could look slightly different as well especially if your mixing camera brands. Yes, it compresses your file reducing file size but because of all this you have less data to work with in post process. But you have some nice tips. I would also not practice and see what best works for you and the environment you tend to photograph in.

Great video! So informative and enjoyable to watch! Also, random question: does anyone ever tell you you remind them of Bridgette Marquardt? You could be her daughter- not just your looks but your mannerisms and voice too. That’s a compliment, by the way, 😊

So if I understand you correctly, I could offer images BOTH as a download so they could download and save their files (printing wherever they want) OR print with me/cloudspot using one of the three print services. That is neat. One of my hangups with these potential services had been I didn't want people to be forced into a more expensive print service with no file control. If I understand this right, this service might be for me after all. Thanks for the video!

I don't know how you get some of these settings. I shot yesterday and we were in a very urban setting (downtown Detroit). I found that I had to shoot at 2.8 at 400 ISO (which is way too noisy for my taste) just to get 1/200th of a second. Sometimes I had to drop to 1/100th. I tried getting into better light but the backgrounds were not as interesting. I do have an older camera (5D) so maybe I need to bite the bullet and get a newer camera that can handle the higher ISO's??
@HopeTaylor2 ай бұрын
An image should definitely not be noisy at only 400 ISO! I can push 2500 ISO before I worry about grain. An updated camera body would help with this a ton!
@wanneske19692 ай бұрын
The 5D (mark I) is indeed an old camera. On my first Rebel I didn't dare to go above iso 800 either ! Try the new R6 with an adaptor for your old lenses. No noise until iso 5000 and I even use it at Iso 12.800 at weddings or concerts. With a bit of postprocessing, you don't see noise then !

Do you typically edit all photos before uploading to the client gallery? Or do you use the gallery for them to choose their selected photos, then edit only those, and then reupload for them to purchase?

I upload all images already fully edited! I prefer for my clients to see the final product vs. the unedited files!
