Hey all. Just thought I'd weigh in with our pretty much horrible experience with a new Axis 700 purchased last May 2023 from Lowes in Winchester, VA. Brought it home, put about 10 hours on it and it won't hold a charge. LOOOOONG story, the mobile tech has been out 4 times, replaced the battery, voltage regulator twice. I told him in February I thought (after doing a bit of research) that it was the stator, since if kept on the trickle charger it reads 100% charged, run it 15 minutes and it's down to 40%-that means the stator is not charging the battery while it's running. Anyway, last time he came out the part that he was supposed to change out was shipped in too small a package and was bent and unusable. I have about a 10 page email chain to 6 different folks at Hisun in TX begging for some resolution. They ignore my calls, emails, voice mails, etc. Needless to say, we are really frustrated with the vehicle, the company, the mechanic; pretty much everything to do with this worthless POS. It is truly ridiculous to spend $10K on something that is now sitting in our garage torn apart waiting for the worthless mechanic once again.

I guess I got a good one.... Mines a 500, so far no problems, its a beast.... My next door neighbor tagged a big buck and asked me to help him get it out of the woods, thick woods, no problem, he said " the Massimo is unstoppable" .... It's definitely been a good machine..... Never have had any problems with it.... I like mine.....

Hey, thanks for helping point me in the right direction for finding the source of the rattle on my 700. It was the driver's side exhaust flange. Both bolts were missing and the flange had slid down the pipe. I guess I should have realized how loud it was but it's so new to me, I didn't realize. 19 hours and this happens? They have blue loctite on them now and I'll keep an eye on the other side. Just picked up your dust and sauce from your website. Can't wait to try them on some wings! Thanks again!

Oh it will pull a heavy load but not a huge range. This wasn’t posted as my truck or a debate video just a simple showing of it’s speed 0-60. I personally own the 3.5 eco with maxtow. I wouldn’t buy one of these with the expectation of towing a huge load just like i wouldn’t buy a hammer to split firewood with. I simply just enjoy the technology and engineering that goes into this. It is meant to be a local truck not a long hauler.

It's a great review one of the 1st that had a good comparison of their use on the 500 and the 700. I have purchased a 500 waiting for shipping strongly considered upgrading to the 700. The reason I think I won't is the entire chassis identical and I can buy a complete 700 engine for roughly $500. It's $2000 more upgrade new... so myself being very mechanically inclined think I might turbo my 500 just for kicks and if she blows up replace it with the 700. I also live in Florida which is flat terrain obviously and think that whatever trails I might find in travels will tell me whether to do that upgrade sooner than later.. Again great comparison and details talking about your experience so far.
@caseymaples19xx Жыл бұрын
Yeah a turbo would be awesome. Can you point me to where you can buy a 700 engine for $500 I’d like to have an extra around just in case.

You do great videos on this rig. We have the Axis 700 from Lowes. Just wondering if you have encountered any brake problems. Ours go all the way to the floor... no compression what so ever. Didn't find that out til we were coming down a mountain of 8k feet!!! Only have 163 miles because basically its dangerous to go anywhere without brakes. We did bleed the brake lines thinking that would help.... but still they go to the floor. Is there a way to adjust the pedal? If you have any thoughts...?. that would be great. The service for us is over 100 miles away and they never answer their phone. Thanks for making your vids appreciate it. I know its a lot of work!!!

Thanks and just making sure you do have brake fluid in it correct?
@caseymaples19xx2 жыл бұрын
But could be a bad master cylinder as well. When you bleed them does it require more fluid and are you bleeding with the cap off? So as to not pull air back in the line.

I'm glad you finally mentioned why you shouldn't trailer it with the roof on. I'm planning on taking mine on a 400 mile road trip to the mountains and hadn't read that or even heard anything about it. I noticed in an earlier video you also mentioned removing the windshield. Let me guess the velcro pulls off.

Good videos, real informative. After watching yours we went and ordered one. I’ll definitely check for any loose bolts and you were correct that bar on the seat has to go and I’m gonna add a silencer to the muffler. What kind of material did you use for the heat shield and in your other video l thought you were going to rubberize the underside of the bed. Your video was good and the company should use you to pitch their product.
@caseymaples19xx2 жыл бұрын
Heat shield was peel and stick stuff from Amazon. I did rubberize the under side of the bed but didn’t video it i used rubber under coating from autozone in the spray can.

You would have to get creative to change it but it’s built pretty thick. I wouldn’t hesitate with 250lb tongue weight at all. And low range for sure. Depending on boat weight.
