Dude in a video I was watching made the comment, 1911 and 2011 manufacturers got people paying thousands of dollars for a gun built on a 113 year old design. That got me thinking, if I'm going to spend 5k on a pistol for idpa, I may go with the alien creator evolution. Its the newest handgun tech.

Stacatto is designed for duty. The P and XC, the C, while Atlas is set up to be a race gun. I have a P and use it for EDC. I have an Atlas Titan, an excellent sleeper gun seeing how it is the Atlas bargain offering. The Efebus, which is wormhole fast. And finally, a Hayes Cobra and Nighthawk TRS Comp. Those are my babies. As good as Atlas is, the Hayes is faster, better, smoother, flatter, and faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.

Good video man. Informative. I just bought a Watchtower Apache (think Stacatto XC) and am probably going to pick up an Athena V2 over the summer. Both guns I'll run the hell out of and put 10,000 rounds through each in next year. I don't shoot competitively, but just damn love to shoot and shoot fast. Thanks for the great content!

Just received my CS and it’s nothing like the Staccato presented here. At least for how tight it is in regards to slide fitment. You can not rock the slide at all. Tbh it’s a bit impressive for $3k when the comparison gun is $6k.

I'm glad I found this video after I bought my XC. I probably would not have bought it and missed out on how bad ass this pistol is. It is by far the best looking and best shooting pistol I have ever owned. I love it and have won competitions with it. You have a good review but it is very subjective. I haven't experienced any of the things you have mentioned. Your plusses are plusses for me and your negatives are not negatives for me. I will shoot an Artemis soon to see what the hype is about, but it will have to absolutely blow me away to get me to even consider selling the XC.

Enjoyed the video. Regarding Atlas, they are considered a production shop rather than a custom shop because they offer a fixed set of models with a fixed set of options and don't fully customize to the buyer's desires; however, they do spend about 20 hours per pistol hand-fitting. This video (kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4nOln1_Zpd8bc0) is worth watching in its entirety, but at about 5:13 they mention the amount of hand-fitting they do. When you take it apart, you'll also see that the frame, slide, barrel, guide rod, guide rod plug, and slide stop, at a minimum, all have the gun's serial number - I presume this is to keep the fitted parts together as they move from station to station (since they aren't a one gun, one gunsmith shop like Nighthawk). Keep up the good content!

Nice preliminary video prior to range time and looking forward to see how they compare shooting wise. Comp'd vs non-comped. And is the price point or variance between the two - justifiable?
