I like empty places (calm and peaceful) like in your video and in IRL with sometimes unpleasant people. Living there and having your mind elsewhere. It's really a good thing to know that you can "virtually travel" through these particularly strange worlds. Thank for that.

4:42 Love the palette on this one. I imagine it was tonemapped but yeah very good choice of colors. Overall, very cozy. Love winter scenes, especially showing the places where people are warm and cozy. :p

I dont even think Christmas when I hear liminal, it didn't occur to me how liminal Christmas is as a concept. Merry Christmas, dude, great images as always, so cozy.

I live in a hotspot for nostalgia and liminal photos. Liminal photos invoke a certain kind of feeling, happy, sad, depression, erie, calm, remembered, forgotten, nostalgia. I wish i could travel back in time and see things as I remember. Ive never been to these places but i feel a sense of familiarity and nostalgia.

I love your vids, they are one of my main sources to screen grab liminal images from, as ive been building up a collection of my own for a little while now, my only complaint would be the fact that you reuse a lot of images from other vids, other than that, i love the videos

I think the reason why theres so many frutiger aero images of fish being somewhere out of water and in the sky relates to the fact that advertising back then makes you hopeful for the future. It kinda relates to Einstein’s quote “Everyone is a genius, but if you judge a fish by it’s ability to climb a tree, it’ll live its whole life believing that it is stupid”. Having a fish jumping out of water represents reaching your full potential despite the hurdles, which is part of the reason we find these images comforting.

6:45 I don't tend to care much for the domestic stuff but what a wild looking kitchen this is. It's almost like something from a bunker where the hope is to just give enough light and color and imagery of the outdoors to help stave off cabin fever. It's probably more pleasant if it's not in a bunker.
