Too long video for something that only takes two minutes to explain.

At first you said some people are getting taught to put bike in neutral & coast to stop sign or stop lights & you said its bad advise , then you said its when you downshift to first gear & coast 🤔😵‍💫🤔😵‍💫 & if lights turn green & if your going 30 the bike will hit hard 😵‍💫🤔😵‍💫🤔

Hello. What I was trying to relate was as you approached a red-light slowdown and down shift to the gear related to the speed that you're approaching to the light and not to coast. As long the MC is not in gear there is no traction on the rear tire and you're prone to drop your MC. If you have to stop at the light. Use the Friction Zone at the end just as you're putting down your feet and braking. It's a timing thing with coordination. That's where practicing come in to feel confident and to be Perficient. I practice slow, quick maneuvering often to keep my skills and balancing up. Marco G

I liked this video. I'm scared of downshifting see I have not been on a motorcycle for 30 years. I have been always riding push bikes though and horses cows ice skating but gears on motorcycles are confusing because it's practice totally riding without that stomach lurching feeling because on a push bicycle, there is more or less everything going on but at a more reasonable control meaning being able to be more able to svoid obstacles, curbs etc. Cos knowing that I still could go off confidence to me, well feels better. I get really bothered about this speed and it's just because of being afraid of everything different however, it's not really is it? I sm worried more because it's heavy and I fear slipping the gear shifts. Hmm. Stop thinking about it, I should just get some CBT. You made me! 😂❤❤❤

Yuasa AGMs came with my generators. 2017 Honda EM4000SX = YTZ14S 2021 Honda EU3000IS = YTX9-BS 2023 Yamaha EF4500ISE = YTX-20LBS Choosing a high quality battery is crucial for generators due to the fact they sit unused for long periods. I just sold the EM4000SX. The battery functioned as new after 8 years. My gen-sets sit for 30 days straight, then excercised for 45 mins. per month at 75% load to charge the batteries and keep oil seals and piston rings conditioned. I was considering lifepo4 lithiums. Our low temps get down to the mid-teens. Too cold for lithium. As for "COLD STARTS" with the AGM's, one turn of the key is all it takes even with temps as low as +14°F. Lastly, the generators charge profile is NOT compatible with the lifepo4 charge profile requirements. Yuasa AGM is the best and most "practical" choice.

Apart from mileage, is there any time limit/age for changing fork oil? Like after 2 years, 5 years etc.?

I only know to go by milage. Remember there is a lot of heat that goes on in those forks cause of friction.

i have this unit you said that yellow cord needs to be hooked up to the power source , do you i have to hook up the yellow to the positive side of battery or where ?
@marcogmotorcycletipstrips5822
@marcogmotorcycletipstrips5822 3 ай бұрын
@@mathewrabii8232 No. I have the one they call smart box, that when I crank the bike up it comes on. The problem is when I hook up my trickle charger the camera comes on. So I switch to the other box which has the Yellow cord. You have to connect to a key on power source, like your running lights. Not your battery or else it stays on all the time. Marco G

@@mathewrabii8232 Hello. You connect the yellow cord to a key on power source. Like your running lights. You will need a 12v light power tester. When you turn on the key you test a wire that comes on with the key and goes off when you turn the key off. If you connect it directly to the battery it will stay on all the time.

I know but my stiff boots are hurting my ankles as I am trying to brake them in. Suppler boots give more sensitive controlling. You don't want to be learning in a pairvof stiff boots as it's an incumberance and dangerous. And painful so it's not good if your a newbie with a new pair of riding boots. And as long as the high tops are really good to learn for this person, well I disagree wearing the right gear at a serious cost to performance and comfortable consistent gear shifting than getting a pair of reinforced metal toe jabbed under the gear pedal or missing it completely.

I downshift too. I'd rather be ready to accelerate safely out of trouble at any time. As you said, "No abruptness" is key. We can stop much faster than most car drivers and many times they aren't paying attention. If we stop at consistent and gradual speed, it forces the cars to match our speed. Obviously, if something jumps out, emergency stops are required. Just try to avoid abrupt braking when possible

Some bikes will have a drain bolt at the bottom of the forks making it incredibly easy to change the oil. Just drain, put a little bit of fresh oil in and pump the shocks to flush everything, drain again, and top up. For bikes without the drain bolt, I use a tube and huge plastic "syringe" to pull out as much oil as possible, same procedure with a little fresh oil and pumping shocks etc. For me this aligns with every 2 years roughly, saves me having to rebuild the forks that much more often.

If fork oil is meant to be changed so often then manufactures should make this an easier process. It's hard to self service without a headset stand and some decent skills to pull apart the forks etc. I asked about changing the oil on my 2015 Honda vfr800 and was told it was 'life time' and didn't need changing which totally confused me? It's getting changed next service only because I said I wanted it done (60,000 km).

How you like the seat after 1 year off use ?
@marcogmotorcycletipstrips5822
@marcogmotorcycletipstrips5822 5 ай бұрын
jrgrajales73, I still enjoy the Saddlemen Seat. I still recommend it because it's comfortable even after a long ride. the seats molds to you the longer you ride because of the gel is under the pad of the seat. Also, the back of the seat holds you in place keeping you anchored, so it doesn't let you slide back in the seat and causing you to hang on the handlebars. My Suzuki original seat was comfortable, but I slid back slightly in curbs and at accelerating, I don't have that problem with the Saddlemen. So, answering you question. I enjoy it even after a year. Thanks for asking. Drive SAFE. Marco G

Lovely bike you have there. I have the Vsysto S2 on my NT 1100 . I have made 2 camera housings with Perspex lenses to protect the glass camera lenses which are prone to being hit by stones and other debris. The lenses stay pefectly clean I just wipe the perspex now and then. Very well described, and an essential addition to any motorbike. Sub and like duly added. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
