It wasn't the fans, it wasn't even the lineup. It's purely the poor choice of concept and song made by the company. None of their title tracks stood out. Give them the same song as "hype boy" and they will blow up. Heck, give them the same song as "badvillain" and they will blow up.

I think you're an amazing unboxing person, but let's not act like Mashiro and Yeseo are permanently gone or anything. I feel a lot of people are really pushing this narrative toxicly and then send their hate or disappointment to those 2 girls or to the new group they're joining. We should be happy that they are free. It was their goal to join LIMELIGHT all along. Why make it a negative event? Being emotional is fine, being negative is not.

ooohh🤔 well I’m both excited they extended, and sad that we’re not gonna see all 9 together anymore🥹 It does make sense though, as I don’t see any of the other member’s company having concrete plans for their members outside kep1er rn, aside from 143 and yeshiro obviously^ It’s both exciting that we get more time with the girls, especially now that they seem to have found their ‘sound’ with their last few combacks imo, but I haven’t seen anything confirmed about how long the new contract is, and them extending doesn’t change how wakeone have continuously treated them pretty badly😵💫 I guess I’m cautiously excited to see where they can go! I wish the best for all 9 and I hope w1 gets their shit together and promotes and treats kep1 better. It’s exciting that kep1 got to be the first mnet group to extend tho, I didn’t see it happening but I was proven wrong on that😅🩵

I would like to point out in regards to kep1er not having a win since up! era: wakeone has always picked horrible dates to give kep1er's comebacks. ever since debut with wa da da, they have had promotions overlap with mega groups like IVE (its literally a meme in the fandom that ive and kep1 have their comebacks at the same time bc it has happened SO MUCH) and twice, new jeans, etc... that it has made it very VERY difficult to get them a single win time after time... we actually got them nominated for a win several times, only to come up short /: devastating. also: I know that for more than a couple of their promotions, at least one music show has always been canceled for reasons like national holidays in Korea. (it was just announced that one of them will be canceled for like the first week of their final album release... AGAIN.) its almost comical. wakeone does NOT care about kep1er, they don't even bother to schedule their comebacks around national holidays to ensure that the damn music shows won't be canceled. you just wouldn't see this type of disorganized, lazy management with ZB1, and thats a fact.

24:48 honestly this is why I'm more of a causal Kep1er listsener not really a fan. The in fighting and toxic solo fans are just too much. I don't want to be parts of fandoms that are toxic like that. It's not what I like about kpop. I'm just here for the music and fun and will do anything to avoid any of the drama. It seems like fans brought too much drama and it turned me off from wanting to be a dedicated fan.

I also think that they got unlucky, because a lot of big girl groups debuted around the same time. Competition was very big for girl groups.

I think the solo stans point is very valid and I blame the survival shows for it. I think the whole system fosters the idea of the survival of the fittest, where the show kind of encourages the viewers to pick their favorite and make them suceed, and since its mostly individual based and fans don't get to see the girls bond as much, it kind of becomes difficult for some of the fans to root for everyone. Especially since social media like twitter creates this echo chamber where they only watch and care for one member. I understand why it would be difficult for some people to go from "I don't care who gets in as long as my favorite debuts" to "omg I love everyone, theyre so great" when they finally do debut. Especially considering all of effort and emotional attachment that went into protecting and hyping up that single contestant from other hateful fans during the show.

They debuted when kpop needed something new and fresh and they missed their mark when debuting with wadadada. People were already fed up with girl crush. They were just another group doing girl crush. Competition was firce with new groups like new jeans changing the kpop landscape. Kepler never had a true group identity. Nothing about their songs screams this is Kepler. I completely block out g999. The xenophobia against Japanese and chinese trainees was just too much to watch and just left a negative after tast.

girl groups are always an experiment for these kinds of shows/companies :( i think how the show was set up was also terrible, i don't know why the producers thought it would work and its wildly different from how boys planet worked.

I really liked kep1er concept, the debut for me was so wow (I remeber wanted to learn the choreo so bad haha) and idk time passed and the company stop to give more attention to them, I feel so bad for them :(( and people don't liked them too and certains members didn't get more attention and lines... kep1er was a great group with a really bad management, a bad ending but I hope the members have better things in the future

I only discovered Kep1er last fall and I'm not overly familiar with the kpop scene and especially not the show they came from, so it's very interesting to hear the background. I LOVE all their music!
