Where can I purchase just the solenoid for the striker ?

Good safety but missed how to install the skirt, using the template wasn’t visible and no instruction on adjustment or assembly of the template. I could not complete the job with this video and have to search for more. Manufacturer videos should be the best. 😕

Can the deadlatch be disabled? It is jamming a strike that I am trying to install. It is staying depressed by the frame of the strike, blocking the spring latch from opening.

Thanks for this instruction. I’ll be replacing the dogging kit for my neighbour’s commercial front door tomorrow. It’s gradually wearing down. Why is it made of nylon? Seems too soft material

Very helpful, BUT you forgot to install the spring under the bar before installing the cover, yet the bar is clearly spring loaded in the demo that follows the cover installation.

I have a shop with a front and a rear entrance. This makes the shop like a cold wind tunnel in winter. The door I want to control on cold days is the front door, which is heavy wood. Most of the year the door will be wedged open to allow easy customer access, but on cold winter days, the door should mainly be closed, and should self-close after a customer passes through it. Would it weaken the spring or the hydraulic mechanism if the door is wedged open for most of the time as detailed?

Awesome thanks vey much for posting your video. It is so hard to find instructions or a picture of this part disassembled. ASSA Abloy don't have it or instructions. They told me Sargent are essentially the same as their Arrow brand just that the arrow brand are older versions. Not sure what the bloke below was referring to... perhaps he thought he was watching fox news or something.

Hi again, I'm working on a Sargent exit device, with a cross bar & surface mounted vertical rods that was installed in the 1960s. You wouldn't happen to know the series number or model number would you? The closest one I've found in Sargent's current models is the 9700 Series. I don't see any series #s on the hardware itself, but on the door side of the chassis are "BR4", "BR2" & "BR3". Thanks.

Hi Gardner. Thanks for the video. I'm just wondering where you get the replacement springs from? I've been looking for them online, but not having much luck so far. Thanks.
