I know a lot of dashi uses mushroom to make the stock but I hate mushroom (recently found out I'm allergic too). This place seems to go all out of the mushroom and truffle. Might have to skip this one...

How lenient are they in terms of ticket times? So if we go at 9 AM and get a ticket for 11 AM, do we have to show up on the dot or can we be a bit late? Or is it possible to pick the time of our ticket?

Ginza Kagari Honten offered us by far the best ramen we ate on my last trip to Tokyo. I heartily back up your own enthusiastic recommendation. You know when you start eating something that is REALLY REALLY good and you suddenly forget about any attempt at conversation with your dining companion? It's THAT sort of food.😋🍜

Arrive around 11am and waited for about 1 hour and 20 mins. There is a long line before it opens.

There are LOADS of halal food places in Tokyo as so many people from Indonesia and other Islamic countries visit that it's financially viable to have halal restaurants etc. Can I recommend that when looking for halal food (even street food, cafes and snacks) you check the reviews and guide at the website 'Tabelog'? Click on whatever food type you want to see restaurant maps and reviews for instead of going to international sites like Trip Advisor; Tabelog is what Japanese people use so their standards are high and I'm fascinated by what THEY consider to be good ramen and okay ramen/good service bad service. Most people go to 'Yelp' and other touristy websites but Tabelog is low key and primarily updated by a domestic user base. Good luck on your next trip, have fun! 😋🍜🛫

@@therfang I remember it was around 11am, and waited for about 50 mins. They only have one table for 2 people and about 5 counter seats, while 50 people were waiting. Might be better to go after 1pm if you don't want to wait for too long.
