"Nintendo DS" *(2006)* Super Mario 3D Land "Nintendo 3DS" *(2011)* New Super Mario Bros. 2 "Nintendo 3DS" *(2012)*

This level and music scared me as a kid, on top of it being hard. The game had been showing off its progressive levels since the start, but here its being used to the fullest extent--the music, the stage...i won't forget it. Even at 7, i recognized it was telling a story about them crossing the moutains. Taking so long proved it was not a fast trip. each stage through the mountains was equal to an episode in a show, a climax, a season finale that stretched the last three episodes.

Entre os meus 6 a 13 anos, eu jogava Donkey Kong naquele DVD que vinha com 10.000 jogos de consoles antigos emulados no PS2, costumava jogar com meu irmão mais velho, mas com o tempo, a nossa diferença de idade ficou clara. Enquanto eu estava preocupado com escola, ele estava preocupado com ENEM e faculdade, então, conforme o tempo passava, não jogávamos mais tanto quanto antes. Mas mesmo assim, eu insistia em jogar com dois controles pra poder lembrar disso, com um sorriso no rosto ao lembrar de como éramos bem próximos. Hoje, estou no 6°semestre do meu curso, meu irmão finalizou o mestrado recentemente e mora em outro Estado. Não sei o porquê de eu escrever isso, mas escutar essa música me faz lembrar disso tudo, e, agora mais velho, entendo meu irmão.
