When I was a kid in the 80s I hated how the Seekers were F-15s, military vehicles, but Megatron & Soundwave had stupid alt modes. I wanted Megatron to be a tank & Soundwave a communications vehicle. I'm probably the only Transformers fan that doesn't want Soundwave to be an old, obsolete 80s cassette deck in 2024. It might have made sense in 84 but it no longer does. I totally prefer his weird Siege spaceship mode & the Bumblebee movie Cybertronian hovercraft (it's bad but it's still better than a stupid cassette player). I hate how Transformers fans are forever stuck on that stupid cassette player mode. Every time a new Soundwave is released, the 1st thing they do is try to turn it into a cassette player. And they just won't let Hasbro move away from it. 🙄

What about the war for cybertron did you like that soundwave or the animated one ? Those two where vehicles and they are cool and still had the gimmick with the small robots

Hi ! Thank you very much for making time to review this figure. I see that the mould degradation is very high on this figure. The joints are extremely loose and it's frustrating to near impossible to make it stand. Hasbro dropped the ball so hard on this figure ! They kept those low quality foil stickers on, the joints are a mess. I hope someone can offer us an answer if the old figure had the same floppy joints.

Found mine today in Target. I was interested see something that isn't star wars related un my way about. I got discount un it for fifty because box was damaged. If you Google him n see how much he goes for you're going drop the bomb un the roof, he goes for $100 bucks now. And I got him for fifty. I was after him for yrs i never came across him though. I got something caught in the middle of my eye today. Interesting. And it was not something I hadn't seen before. Someone messed up by leaving him in the nerf gun isle by himself. Mine now. 👍😎☺️

I didn't immediately buy it, I stood there first determining if I should buy it. There was nothing else I saw that interested me. I go out do this, once occasion ride my bike down there to the stores see if there's anything interesting I may find. My last visit GameStop I found the vintage collection stormtrooper un the peg with Captain Rex. I didn't have this stormtrooper or captain rex before I bought them & took em with me. When I found prime It's unexpected find in the corner my eye. In the nerf gun section near the diecast cars from Pixar. Id never seen Optimus prime from the main standard assortment transformers come as impossible find. I seen the kiddy ones I never seen this one in the toy aisle ever. And I do have the Hot rod from titans return. I bought bumblebee & the sharkicon a long time ago. Optimus he was always rare impossible get hold of. It took 6-7 yrs find this prime I'm good I got him. The employee gave me discount because I had 66 dollars left in my account. I didn't want buy it immediately because my mom knows when I go out of the house she watches my bank account & I'm careful about choices I take. I did ask them in case I change my mind n return it I can. I chose keep it. Though I don't need it because I have a lot of Figures already n spaceships from star wars, toy story, Godzilla, king Kong, Terminator, marvel, Fnaf. I got way too much. There's no where put it. I make exceptions for one or few toys n characters I don't have. I'm trying not waste my money all the time un junk. Because I have way too much. Optimus I made an exception because I never had big Optimus (correction: I did have big Optimus long time ago when I was little boyeh the revenge of the fallen Optimus I got rid him before). I have the small deluxe kiddy one I got from Walmart a while ago. This prime has the matrix n his gun. That's good enough for me. I collect star wars, when it comes to other toy assortments via: Marvel, Detective comics, transformers & Godzilla even Fnaf I try not invest my money in those it's very expensive. Costly & sacrificing money I don't have for them. Optimus was good choice. Edit.

My copy of Swoop arrived today and I have the exact same chest issue with mine. Plus when in robot mode, the chest halves like to pull away when you bend or move his arms. I was really excited for this guy but I'm actually kinda upset about it, especially for the price point of the leader class figures. I also will not be transforming this figure after i put him on display with the others. I stopped collecting many years ago, sold off my G1 collection in 2013 and regretted it ever since. When SS86 came around, i knew i had to rebuild my old collection using these new figures. All im missing now in Unicron and ill be using the Studio Cell for that one.

I notice that you do not show the combined creature mode. Apparently there is a way of making it look good. Flare out the wings, make the sea creature's head just a tail, and lay the winged ones head along the back. It looks more cohesive that way, apparently.
