My auntie used to sing this. She was the founder of a gospel group in Houston Texas called the Heavenly stars. Pray for her, she is in ICU. My mom was the lead singer of this group and she's already in heaven. I'm 39 now and this brings back so many memories. I'd like to hear my auntie sing this one more time!!!!

Met a 90 yr old black lady selling watermelons out the back of her pick-up down in Austin. Told me she was one of ten kids, but the family only had shoes for five, so she had to go to school every other day. Back in the 30's. Now, why oh why Lord couldn't one white family buy them some more shoes? WHY? Answer: they didn't know about it. Whites ain't all evil, they just don't know sometimes.
