Hey brother. Would your last name happen to be Wise. I went to school and had a best friend growing up that looks exactly like you. Darren Wise. He was an epic mechanic. Used to own an 88 firebird. White....

Cheers for the advice about using the King Springs standard height instead of the raised springs. We're gonna replace the suspension but plan to install the 2" lift in the near future and wanted to ensure compatibility!

The eBay Special Coil Isn't bad, That been said Mines been in saw for 2+ years But have Seized saw 3 Times First time I put a 58mm Big Bore Kit in It seized, second time I cleaned the alloy Transfer up with Muric Acid and a light Hone on Original Bore, i realized that that Tylon fuel Hose isn't temp proof Which has been my problem all along It melted and came off the 58mm BBK and Spilt on the other, I've procured Some heaver Rubber type Hose for that spot When I get My next Rebuild Kit a Metior Itailan made Kit as a Genuine Is out of my price Range.

I'd like to know what happens when a bull ant climbs up the back of your leg. How thick is the back padding? It would be nice to have some armour all around shins and calf.

Haha, I’ve done that with the clutch as well. They really take off if you happen to be outside. I’ve remembered to torque them down since that happened.

Australian models generally follow the trends, and all my saws have the spark arrestor screen. I use a butane gas torch to clean them occasionally, I also don't rush into using the saw - I let them warm up for a few minutes on idle, that gets the fuel flowing through the fuel system and gets the oil lubricating the chain/bar. In theory if fuel is good, and the saw can breathe it should run. And keep it clean. 😎

I know this is 5 years old, but why not just use an OEM crankcase gasket? I'm just about to order one from DIY spares out of the UK for around $3 AUD (along with a heap of other OEM bits for my 044 rebuild)
@v262244 ай бұрын
@@walker11288 I priced it up at the time. It was a 8-12 week wait and about $80 for the kit.

Thanks for the review and honesty. I'm waiting to see what the 'hurricane combo' performs like on my late fathers 1980's Husqvarna Rancher 50. For what they cost, I don't expect the same result that we get from the more expensive Husqvarna/Stihl gear - but then again, I'm not clearing large amounts of timber so if they work its good.

Great comparison. I just ordered a kit for my Forester XT 2014. I live in Sweden and it's tough to find quality stuff around here. Luckily, I'm visiting my brother in Adelaide for a couple of weeks so I ordered a kit to be shipped to him, and I'll bring it home in checked baggage👍
