It's quite the paradox, where church music is better than so called professionals. The professionals are isolated from critical thinkers.

Let me share a story...when I was heavily pregnant and unable to move very fast, my husband who's name rhymes with Hess Hartin, used to fart loudly while we were both in a store aisle, then run away leaving me standing there while everyone turned around and stared at me, because obviously it's the huge pregnant lady that so shamelessly unloaded in aisle 5. Then you'd hear the faint giggling of a 12 year old boy in a grown man's body one row over. Good times.

I teach 3rd-4th grade Sunday School, and we actually taught the story of Jael recently lol. Some actual lines from our book are "She took a tent peg and a hammer, and she killed him while he slept...Barak went into her tent and Sisera lying dead with a tent peg through his head." But our book ends each story with a Christ Connection. For example, this one said "God fought for the Isrealites and used Deborah, Barak and Jael to defeat Canaan. How does God accomplish his plan? God uses people for his glory and our good. God's plan was even greater than just saving His people from physical enemies: He saves us from sin. God had a plan to bring about our ultimate good: salvation through his Son, Jesus."

A stream like this works best live in my opinion. Church provides a great time spent listening to pastor(s) talk on God's Word. Opening the door for the community to ask questions will lead to more interaction. Of the type they couldn't get outside of a small group. Especially if you keep your style where the questions would need to be more focused on the topic at hand. Mike Winger's 20 questions live streams for example.

On understanding the Bible. What do the people mean in Mark 1:21-27 when saying Jesus taught with authority? How would it differ from the religious leaders in Israel at the time. Was it simply Jesus saying things in the way like "you've heard it said, but I say". Directly claiming authority through His wording. Because they say that He taught with authority before casting out the unclean spirit. So I'm thinking it goes beyond the times where He expressed power. How would y'all describe this idea? Thank you!

It's not enough because it's not saving Faith. This is a FALSE GOSPEL. WHAT is this Jesus presented, saving you FROM? From trials and tribulations, to be "victorious" Faith is not "believing in Jesus to get me through the trials of life"... this is a FALSE FAITH that does not save. Faith is clinging to the Blood of Jesus to save you from the Wrath of God, and in LIGHT OF being saved from eternal wrath, all of these trials are light and momentary in comparison to the glory that awaits us...IF we cling to the Blood of Jesus alone. This Gospel sets up the result of the Gospel as the Gospel, and when you displace the root with the fruit, you have no root.

@thelastadmin9272

He's saying it'd be comparable to witchcraft. Saying some magic words to get the result you want. Rather, salvation is by faith alone through grace alone. We place our faith in the finished work of Christ Jesus our Lord. That He died for our sins and rose on the third day. People merely say the sinners prayer to God, rather than believing it in faith. They never really gave their whole life, heart, soul, everything to The Lord, they just repeated some words but never truly submitted to Him.

I put it a little harsher, they believe that by reciting a magic spell, at any age, they absolve themselves of responsibility for their actions for the rest of their life, and all of time. It frees them up to do whatever they want and hand wave it away as pre-forgiven, and they don't even have to feel guilty about it.

James is very much writing salvation doctrine. He says that Abraham was justified by works and not by faith only. But faith in what? Did James write that the Jews' faith was in the blood atonement of Christ for the remission of sins? Not at all. James says that faith in the Jewish Shema, which the Jews recited twice a day, does not save by itself because the devils believe in the one true God's existence. James upholds the Law of Moses by insisting on works for salvation. But when was this gospel preached? Peter preached it at Pentecost. Peter preached the restoration of Isreal after he healed the lame man. The Jews were still being offered the restoration gospel through the coming of Messiah until somewhere in Acts the offer to Israel as a nation was aborted. This is why Paul said to them, "It was necessary that the gospel be preached to you first."

Also it is not for us to judge because the Bible says judge not lest ye see equal judgment by the same measure so unless you’re trying to get judged by God for failing the fast between you and God then you were also passing judgment which is God‘s place God is the ultimate authority God is the ultimate judge You should not critique peoples personal relationship with God God will let them know if they fell short that is the point of fasting it is to remove men from religion and give you a direct connection with God you’re not doing it because your pastor said and translated the word you’re doing it because you Morley feel obligated within yourself to do this for God to show him how much you love him that is what fasting is why are y’all talking about it You are reaping nothing but negativity into your relationship with you in God and that is not wise God doesn’t want us to hyper critique each other’s relationships with him he wants to hyper critique our relationships with him
@barrykinnan2918

First off if you’re talking about fasting you’ve already failed because God will not credit it is a personal devotion between you and God it is personal sacrifice that you do not share with anybody else not a single person not even your own pastor so if you are talking about fasting for religious purposes you’ve already lost

It is the singular thing we are allowed to boast in brother... the knowlebge of GOD, thays not pride, thats zeal! ive been reading my bible, the same bible ive had since i was 10 years old and iam now 60...with a pastor/ guardian ( because my mom abandoned me) who made me read it as punishment and would then make me to give him a synopsis of what it said Then spank me with his belt! Couldve gone south, but it didnt, i didnt hold GOD accountable for THAT GUY. Instead i grew to love my WORD. I know where every verse is and can find it in a heart beat, most verses ive even memorized by heart. Any subject matter, ive got that covered...so when false doctrine is passed off as truth here on you tube, iam prepared to give an accurate accounting of my faith! Sword of truth brother! Hard to argue with plain facts written in black and white. Even though there are those stubborn people out there THAT will look truth right in the face and still call it a lie!

Thank you so much for your response. First of all, I am deeply saddened to hear of your childhood and so pleased to hear that God graciously sustained you through it. I fear you misunderstood the clip. I never said it was pride to know God or his word. Only that I was proud. Clearly, we are aloud to boast that we know God who practices love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. (Jeremiah 9:23-24) However, at 24 that’s not what I was doing. I was boasting in how well I knew the Bible and how many times I read it. That is a completely different thing. That’s boasting in myself. Furthermore, I am certain you and I can agree that any gift of God used apart from love is fruitless. (1 Corinthians 13:1-3) I certainly wasn’t walking in love or using my knowledge in love. That was the problem. Thanks so much for your comment. -Ryan
