What a wonderful, heartwarming project! 💚 I hope you diversify a bit more and add a few more native fruit trees to that location in the next tree planting project.

We need a "Service to country" mentality, with that such projects will increase across the country and these trees will have a great chance of survival and thrive... Kudos to this team. I live in Ibex Hill, main street. It's quite a long road and sadly it has no trees... All old inner roads have trees (Check Longacres, Rodes Park, neighborhoods in Ndola, etc), and all new roads have none. See the pattern? Whichever unit of the Govt that ensured that trees are planted in every street should bring back this policy. There's a reason they did that and not practicing that over a number of years has also cost us. For now seeing this is urgent, let us, the residents of this beautiful country, step up and take charge...

Great initiative. Let’s hope the rains will take over the watering during the initial installation

Last year, I bought my first adenium obesum (pink flower) at East Park mall in Lusaka. It grew very well for the past year, flowering most of the year. I'll probably have to repot soon as the side branches are starting to get top heavy and drooping down, still flowering. I maybe even have to prune it, hence me searching on when and how to prune. Rainy season hasn't brought us much rain yet, and it's still very hot. I bought another, a varigated two different colour flowers, last week from the same lady. Thank you for this video.

Watching from Essex United Kingdom. Do Chesnuts grow in Zambia? I see plenty of them here in the parks.
@zambeziflora5113Ай бұрын
Generally, the majority of temperate trees will not grow and prosper here in Zambia due to our long dry season, mild temperatures which usually are not cold enough to induce flowering and hungry termites which seemingly love exotic species that never evolved to deal with termites.

This is great! Not sure if you're doing this as well, but SUPER important to make sure the land is absorbing water so things can grow. If you can, highly recommend encouraging people to dig zai pits or "african smiles", and to plant the trees around the holes (not in them). Keep up the great work!
