I keep my Typhur Dome between my fridge and stove top, and I keep a silicone mat on top of my stove so that when I take it out, I can just set it there. The mat keeps it from sliding and protects it from getting scratched on the bottom.

It’s suppose to “steam” to not over dry foods. It also says to “revive” stale bread. Honestly I hardly ever use that function.

@@renegadeeats Thank you I'm so happy you replied!! I am so torn between buying something really ordinary looking, and buying this pretty oven. I was wondering how deep the unit is with the door open, because that handle design and the difficulty it causes with taking hot food out of the oven really does look like its going to be really annoying. But if it's deep enough I wonder if I could put it on the counter and not put it too far back against the wall??? Would you mind measuring it with the door open???
@renegadeeats18 күн бұрын
That could be a good alternative! With the door open it measures 17 1/2 inches deep.

The only problem with this air fryer is the deep inside is too small.
@renegadeeats26 күн бұрын
@@TheJacquelinesnc I agree I wish it was a little taller in there.
@missmonasuzette4 күн бұрын
Yes, but I find that it works for most things that I usually cook in an air fryer, and it does a better job because it gets the food closer to the heating element. If I want to cook a whole chicken or something tall, I use a deeper air fryer. It's great for cooking chicken pieces, and it will cook a lot more servings than a deep air fryer.

@mariaguadagnino437Ай бұрын
It’s absolutely a terrible product. Non of the features really work. Air fryer doesn’t make anything crispy, it even burned edges and still not crispy. The toaster option is ridiculously bad. Burns edges and nothing else gets toasted. Do not purchase

Why did you "bake" your roast chicken instead of using the "roast" oven setting? (You might like to confirm and explain your understanding of the difference between the bake and roast settings on an oven, as many people don't understand.)
@renegadeeatsАй бұрын
@@rickbear7249 I did “roast” the chicken for the first 20 minutes then you have to switch to bake mode as seen and explained in the video. Roasting a chicken for the full 50 minutes or so will dry out the chicken as that setting is too strong. All in the video.

It's great for a caravan or motorhome or tiny bedsit with no kitchen space just a microwave and/hob but no oven, or ashared flat where each want their own cooking facilities, or for a singleton-couple who can't afford a main oven or can't afford to replace the one they have got, because they are obviously more expensive. It's fine if you eat a lot of processed food like frozen chips or pizza and need something speedy to heat it up if putting on the main oven seems overly burdensome for something out of packet. It's great for someone with mobility issues who finds it hard to bend down to get food out of a main oven that isn't eye level. But for me, it holds no appeal at all and I struggle to see the benefits. I have a main oven and yes, it takes a little while to heat up, but not that long, but it does have a eco-heat and cook function. Most of my meals are hob top pressure cooked meals and nothing is cheaper or quicker or healthier too than pressure cooked food. I also have a microwave that cooks food and I can just bung in a frozen burger or frozen steak for 1-2 minutes in cook mode just to get it defrosted and very partially cook-started then I can slap it on my hob-top Le Cruz Grillet to get the same speedy crispy totally cooked results in 5-10 mins.. There are no splashes with the grillet or no fears of tipping oil over yourself either. If I want some chips, I can par pressure cook them or microwave cook them, pat them off dry, cover them in a little cooking olive oil and cook then for 10 under the grill or in the fan oven for crispy fluffy results. This little cooker is just a mini conventional oven - nothing special at all and frankly it encourages poor processed food eating habits for convenience foods. A chicken takes an hour to cook in any oven and in a proper baking tray there is no oil spillages to worry about. . I also wonder abou the price. It is very cheap, therefore I wonder how long it will last. If you do love chips and roasties, and need a replacement for a hob top deep fry chip pan, then just buy a proper small bin filled air fryer, which will save oil, smells and cleaning.
