Hello, I would like to purchase this variator! I can connect it to 1/16 scale cars (not crawlers) my fear is burning the motor because I have heard that this variator is for 540 motors and I have cars with 380 brushed motors. greetings

Just talking with others about vintage RC car, mentioned a RC maker called Nichomo, it got the Vintage 443(forgot its real name) and the Spirit FF produced based on the 443, and found this video. Spirit FF may be the first ever produced R/C FF buggy in the world. Hope you still keep the car

I had one of these. I spent my entire summer's pay from mowing yards on it and bought it for $86.xx from Hobby Shack and when I finally got together with my cousin and built it. It had design flaws in that it used a mechanical speed controller but it did not have the extra space for the secondary battery that the speed controller needed. So I had to spend more money for a Novak electronic Speed controller (ESC). The front wheel drive was totally cool and I enjoyed it for a bit but then when I went to get a replacement part for it, the company was out of business or it was discontinued. Yeah, Over $150 dropped for 20 minutes fun... I should have just purchased a Tamiya Grasshopper...

I'm surprised this didn’t get any attention...... I assume you used plain old lead solder, to weight the wheels. That's bloody brilliant!

That was clever! Others say "Just buy this kit".... MY answer is - How much did that cost you to do vs. buying a special kit?? I've got to remember this trick!

Just out of curiosity, what kind of paint did you use to paint the axle housings? I've been wanting to paint the axles on my scx10 but didn't want to mess them up if the paint didn't stick.

why not just replace the shock with after market one's? like from gmade
@wupperRC9 жыл бұрын
+jacobww1 hi,just using longer shocks makes no difference. and the Tamiya shocks work well. I do not want the chassis to stand taller,I want the axle to go beyond the point of fully extended shock only when it has to. ....amd only when the other shock is compressed.

Stumbled on this video and it brought back memories! I had one for awhile and sold it. I tried running without the heavy "radiator" and noticed horrible traction hopping on each take-off. Neat though, and Nichimo had the best looking wheels/tires of the old-school if you ask me.

Got this car in 1988. It was my first RC car. My buddy stayed up all night and assembled it. We got out in the morning to test it out and he pulled up his RC Fox to race. I ended up crashing my car into his and then a curb within the first 3 minutes. Broke the front end (it was -3 Degrees F out that morning so most of the plastic parts were probably as sturdy as glass stemware. The was the first and last time I got to have fun with my only RC car. What a childhood Tragedy LOL.

Jason Lund I have one truck. Seems im into them more then I can afford them lol thats why I got this esc. Its super cheap and it seems to work really good.

Is that the waterproof one? I was looking at a hobbywing esc after I heard the new aes-5 from axial was just a rebadged Hobbywing. I have an Axial wraith and SCX-10.
@thevillageidiot16559 жыл бұрын
Jason Lund ya this one is waterproof. I have an hip wheely king. Its an ok truck. Way to over priced though. I hope to get an axial some day. The scx10. Or the rc4wd trail stomper.and a tamiya cco1. I like this guys jeep it works pretty damn good.

hey wupper ever find a way to cure the slop? I have yet to see one that actually works that dosent require an engineering degree :)
@wupperRC9 жыл бұрын
I do not see what you mean by slop??
@monsalai9 жыл бұрын
wupperRC like the way that you can grab the tires and move them without moving the servo
@wupperRC9 жыл бұрын
***** sloppy steering can be cured! I use the GPM steering kit. use rigid servo arm,without servosaver! And I replaced the two links that connect to the uprights with links from a TT-01 steering kit ,also from GPM. too complicated? I can post a short clip if you want!
@monsalai9 жыл бұрын
wupperRC nah not complicated. i have ehad so much bad about the gpm git i kinda dont want to go for it but the rest i was thinking about my self but if you want i am shure people beyond me would enjoy a video on it
