You shouldn’t use super glue, if you scratch the lens again and want to replace it you will have a hard time removing it it will not be able to remove it. You should use t7000 glue

I have this exact lens. One day it just got stuck in the minimum apereure (high F value) and now it is like that always. When I connect the lens to the camera the aperture is moving very fast and after a couple tries it stops and in the camera I am losing the ability to change aperture. is this a stuck aperture blade or something with the flex cable? Thanks!!!

Mine now refuses to turn on, setup, on, the buttons do nothing. But if i plug in the USB connector to the computer, the screen turns on and displays the DCIM screen. Im not sure how to resolve this, any ideas? Batteries are good, clearly the screen works, and i have used it regularly. This just randomly started, and nothing seems to be able to get the screen to light up

Thank you for the thorough and insightful guide, it help me fix my 75-300 lens successfully and save a bundle! Please do other videos like this, I like the way you explain things as you work through the process. Question for you: do you have any idea what kind of grease do these lenses use on the inside? I noticed a tiny amount of grease between some of the rings and barrels, but I had to remove it because it had been contaminated with tiny amounts of sand (fortunately I was able to remove it before it caused scratches and wear). I could try lithium grease, but don't really know if that's the right type. Thanks!
