Dr. Matloff saved my Mom's life back in 1972 at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital. Dr. Matloff was an incredibly brilliant and compassionate man. I was 13 years old in 1972. Many years later, my wife and I along with our eldest daughter (she was just a baby at the time) visited Dr. Matloff in his beautiful office at Cedars-Sinai in 1989. Dr. Matloff held our daughter in his big arms as we spoke together. I have always admired Dr. Matloff and wondered how he did all that he did. It was the work of a brilliant man. Rest in peace, Dr. Jack, and sincere condolences to your family and to all those who knew and adored you.
