This is a joke about the Beatles. The entire point of this song is to make fun kf revolution nine by taking quite possible the most christian, safe song off of the black album (Lucifer) chopping it up and turning it into something blatantly satanic. Back in the 60s (and on going until today) people continue to swear up and down that revolution nine contains several satanic messages when reversed, like a woman talking to satan or "Turn me on dead man". The problem with these messages is that theyre gibberish unless you are specifically told what it says. So Danger decided to make quiet possibly the most direct, easily recognizable backward masking in music. So is Dangermouse a satanist? No, if he was there is literally no way he wouldve been able to work with people such as Jemini or Black Thought (I mean most of Cheat Codes and Born again is about god, and finding salvation through him. I highly doubt Christians would work with him if he was and vice versa). Was Dangermouse a twenty something who decided to take the piss out of at-the-time 40 year old rumors? Yes.

This ain’t have the audio quality of the other upload, but that somehow only had 1 comment, so imma repost what I posted there: This is such a unique, ballsy experiment in genuinely mixing the DNA of different songs together and making the result shine-not just borrowing a hook or loop; a musician’s approach. I remember this came out when I was in high school, and you’d always hear the record bumping at parties even though all the lawsuits from both the Beatles AND Jay’s side meant it became hard to get, even through file sharing. Mouse didn’t just simply throw the tracks down and add Jay’s isolated vocal over em, he chopped and edited and synced and even added bits until these sounded like the only versions of the songs that could ever be. Who the hell’d think you could make a beat out of “Helter Skelter”?!!
